I have 98 points in the OINP Workforce stream, but my work permit is expiring on September 2026, I have around 40 days left. My employer has already created the job offer and provided me with the Job Offer ID. Given my score of 98, should I still keep hope of receiving an OINP invitation before my work permit expires?

can I declare my spouse as non-accompanying since we are currently living in different countries ? Has anyone gone through a similar situation? Are there any issues with choosing non-accompanying when the spouse is not moving with me at the time of application, and can they be added later if circumstances change?

I'm looking for some advice from people who have gone through Express Entry. My CRS score is 459 if I include my wife as accompanying, but it increases to 478 if I declare her as non-accompanying. I'm eligible under the trade category, and I'm currently in Canada on a work permit with only about 1.5 months remaining. My wife is currently working in Dubai, so we're considering listing her as non-accompanying to improve my chances of receiving an ITA, with the plan to sponsor her after I become a PR. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is this considered a genuine strategy if she truly isn't accompanying me at landing, or is there a risk that my PR application could be refused just because she's non-accompanying? I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with firsthand experience or knowledge.

Just finished my CELPIP test and I'm worried about my Speaking score. In Task 7, I got stuck and ran out of ideas, made several grammar mistakes, and couldn't properly conclude a few responses in other tasks. I still answered the questions and gave my main reasons, but it definitely wasn't smooth. Has anyone felt the same way and still ended up with a decent speaking score?

- Listening: 10

- Reading: 11

- Writing: 9

- Speaking: 8

I’m taking CELPIP again on July 18 and my goal is to get 10+ in all four sections.

For those who improved from Writing 9 / Speaking 8 to 10+, do you think the official CELPIP practice tests are worth buying, or is Celtestpip more helpful?

Any last-week strategies, especially for Speaking and Writing, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welder (NOC 72106) in Ontario with a permanent full-time job offer from my employer. My work permit expires in 2 months, and my employer is willing to support an OINP application.

Has anyone received an OINP nomination in a similar situation before their work permit expired? What do you think my chances are?

I am working in Guelph as a welder(Noc 72106) for 2 years and my employer will support me by giving job offer( already has EOI for foreign worker stream). My work permit will expire within 2 months. What are my chances of getting nominated for the new OINP workforce stream and apply for BOWP?.
