How difficult is it to immigrate to Canada these days?

How difficult is it to immigrate to Canada these days? I’m interested in immigrating through a skilled worker program in an engineering-related field, and I’m wondering if it has become more difficult recently.

I’d also like to move to Eastern Canada, so I’d like to know which cities would be good options.

What are you guys doing tomorrow?

Since it’s just turned Sunday here in Korea, I’ll probably wake up and watch Ian Garry vs. Makhachev in the UFC in the morning, then go to the gym and do some leg training, probably squats (80 kg, 4×5). After that, I’ll study for a bit and then go to bed. What about you guys?

Is it easier to build muscle if you lift weights as a teenager?

Is it significantly easier to build muscle if you train during puberty? I read that growth hormone (GH) and IGF-1 increase significantly during puberty and help with muscle growth, but I'm not sure how much of an impact they actually have.

How big was Korean Zombie?

As far as I remember, he beat Garcia, Mark Hominick, and Poirier, then got a title shot against José Aldo, but dislocated his shoulder in the 4th round and lost by TKO. After that, he did his military service (as a public service worker), came back against Bermudez, and then I think he had one more title fight against Volkanovski.

Personally, I don't think he was really championship material. I'd say he was more of a high-level contender/gatekeeper. What do you guys think?

These days in Korea, people tend to unnecessarily compare him to Dong Hyun Kim (Stun Gun) and downplay his career, so honestly, it's starting to make me question my own assessment.

What squat weight would be considered the point where you're no longer a beginner?

I'm a 9th grader, and my current squat 1RM is around 100 kg. I know the weight you lift isn't everything when it comes to building muscle, and there's no point in comparing yourself to others. I'm just curious what people think, just for fun.

Can heavy weightlifting increase eye pressure or glaucoma risk?

Hi. I’m a 9th-grade student living in South Korea. I don’t have glaucoma, but my intraocular pressure is around 19–25 mmHg. I also have thick corneas, which may make the readings 1–2 mmHg higher.

I’m currently weight training with the goal of squatting over 100 kg for 5 reps before I turn 15. Could heavy weightlifting raise my intraocular pressure or increase my risk of developing glaucoma? I’ve read that lifting near your 1RM can temporarily increase eye pressure, but I’m not sure about the long-term effects. Does anyone know anything about this or have any insight into whether heavy weightlifting is safe in my situation?

Also, I had several tests for glaucoma back in January, and so far, the doctor said there were no significant abnormalities. Oh, and I’m quite nearsighted as well.

How many men in the United States can do at least two pull-ups?

Allow a reasonable amount of kipping, and don’t put any restrictions on grip as long as it’s not some really weird grip.

I think even doing two pull-ups can be pretty difficult for someone who doesn’t exercise at all.

What do you guys think?

What are your 1RMs for the big three?

I’m still a student and I only started lifting recently, so my current numbers are a 100 kg squat and a 50 kg bench press. (I don’t really deadlift because it hurts my lower back.)

Yeah, I know these numbers are pretty weak, but I’m going to keep working hard until the day I can hit a 500 kg total.

Hope everyone reading this has a great day!

Is it okay to use heavy weights for neck training to build a thicker neck?

I don’t have any neck issues such as a herniated disc, but I still wanted to ask just to be sure. When I see people with thick necks, they look incredibly strong, so I’d like to build a thicker neck myself by doing weighted neck exercises.

However, I’m concerned that using weights for neck training could cause a herniated disc or put too much stress on my neck in the long term and potentially cause problems. People seem to have very different opinions about this. Is it safe to train my neck with weights?

How big are Russian school bullies?

A few days ago, I watched a video explaining Russian school bullies. It claimed that Russian bullies are basically all over 6 feet (183 cm) tall, have necks as thick as their heads, and are good at wrestling and boxing, like Khabib and Makhachev, to the point where they can beat anyone in a fight.

Of course, just like many other memes about Russia, I assume the video was exaggerated to some extent. But I'm curious about how much of this is actually true and how much is just a stereotype or an exaggeration.

What breed is my rabbit?

Hi! I’m wondering what breed my rabbit might be.

She is 5 years old and weighs 1.6 kg. She has a mostly white coat with black ears and dark markings around her eyes.

I’m not sure if she’s a purebred or a mix. Any guesses?

I’ve attached some photos for reference. Thank you!

How Do You Shoot on Longer Opponents in MMA?

I used to train boxing, and I’ve been learning wrestling for about 3 weeks now.

I have one question though: in MMA, how are you supposed to shoot on people with a much longer reach?

I try things like throwing a jab and immediately shooting a double leg, or throwing a 1-2 into an inside single, but my punches don’t even get close enough to their face to make them react, so it feels ineffective.

I’ve been watching a lot of Khamzat Chimaev footage and studying his takedown timing, but this is one thing I still can’t really understand no matter how many videos I watch.

How do you overcome a big reach disadvantage in these situations?

Thnak you

What’s the goal after a takedown in MMA?

Hello, I’m a 14-year-old guy living in Korea. I trained boxing from age 9 to 13, and I started learning wrestling about 3 weeks ago.

Other than chokes, I basically know nothing about BJJ. In MMA wrestling, I’m not really sure what I should do after successfully getting a takedown.

I’d like to hear your opinions and advice about this.

Hope everyone reading this has a great day.
