Shorting with Webull

Question for the community - is anyone using Webull for a strategy that involves shorting?

I primarily trade during pre-market and sometimes after hours, due to work schedule.

I focus on two primary strategies, longs on small cap gainers in premarket, and also shorting those small cap premarket gainers.

The issue I have is that SO many times, even when Webull shows a stock to be shortable or hard to borrow, I click the button and get the inevitable pop up "Insufficient shares available, lower share size or try again tomorrow.' I'll even go down to just one share to check, still get same message.

Now I know that many of these small cap, lower-float stocks will be limited in shares available to borrow to take a short position, esp. when already marked as HTB. I def get that.

But man it is frustrating to see chance after chance go by, and I couldn't take a position, simply because the broker could not get me the shares.

My accuracy is good with my short positions. Just this past week, on at least 5-6 different occasions, I would have been right, and watched the move go without me.

Wondering if IBKR or another brokerage would have better access to pools of stock shares for borrowing to short?

Also wondering if going to Webull's premium subscription (only like $4.99/mo) would put me in a different tier or class, where i'd see more stocks available to short?

Just to chime in on the many posts about Webull's app and features - I like the desktop app, I think the charting is intuitive and well suited for active trading. It may not have the plethora of indicators and customization as a Tradingview, for example. But I also take the position of Keep It Simple. I don't need 100 indicators and a crazy busy screen. I try to have a sound strategy that is testable and repeatable.

For my money's worth, I think Webull app and execution speed is just fine for active trading. The app does a really nice job of letting you customize hotkeys to get in and out quickly. On those occasions where I can get into a position, long or short, the execution is very quick.

Anyone else work a short-selling strategy using Webull, and any thoughts? Def appreciate the community's thoughts on this.

Awesome spot for raw cobalt flux?

So I like to make jet pack armor to put in my shop.

I need lots of raw cobalt flux.

Typically I wait until someone nukes Morgantown or Whitesprings, or I nuke them. This seems to be the main opinion I see on posts where people are asking how to best farm the raw cobalt flux.

Last night, I opened the map to see that someone had nuked the area around and to the south of Foundation, around Spruce Knob and including that lookout point to the east of the pond.

So I hopped into some PA to check it out.

And I found raw cobalt flux all over! There are a ton of Quantum Leaf in the pond, just go all around the edges of the water. Also a bunch of spots in the water and in the little side streams. Also, to the east, all around that lookout, there are a ton of bomb berries.

With the Green Thumb equipped, I got 100+ raw cobalt flux in just a few minutes. Not to mention there are several mirelurks and radstags roaming around, so wound up with some good high rad fluids and masses.

Just a PSA because I haven't seen anyone mention this area to nuke for the cobalt. But it's just as good, if not better, than Morgantown or Whitesprings.

I might try nuking the area but also including the Channels, bet there would be even more Quantum Leaf there.
