Concert is on Wednesday, August 19th
Unable to go as my boyfriend is working overtime now and he was supposed to drive us! Bought both for $140, looking for at least $80 for both.
My bf lives with his ex wife (they divorced in 2012, lived apart for several years and she moved back in in October to help out with the kids as she was the “weekend parent” and he needed help).
For perspective they have 3 children together 20-18-16) but the youngest 2 are autistic. Non-verbal and still need help with some of the basics like making food, personal care and etc. it’s just the situation makes me feel so uneasy.
If it matters a) he didn’t tell me he lived with her until I went to his house and he informed me she was there b) they do have separate rooms within the house they both reside in c) I’ve met her and she seems nice, is also dating people.
It’s not my situation to comment on but I can’t help but feel uneasy about it. He told me she moved back in to help with the kids as he had them the majority of the time and it was a lot to handle. She still attends events with his family and today they all went to the beach together while I was at work.
Does this seem to be a normal coparenting situation considering how high-needs the kids are? I can understand parenting for birthdays and major events. But to invite her just for fun to go to the beach when he could have handled it seems weird to me.
