Sleep regression hitting hard for 1yo. Tips/advice?
We are going through a rough sleep regression. Typically, our little one year old girl gets tired around 9, is held for like 30 min, passes out and is transitioned to her crib. Easy peasy, sleeps through the night, but now...
It went from being held for 1 hour, to 2 hours, to switch between me and spouse, to now not sleeping unless held. If you try putting her down, immediate tantrum. If you try sleeping in bed, she thinks its playtime with anything in reach.
Last night, at 2am, we just let her cry it out, and at 3am she was asleep.
So my question is, do we just try the CIO method? We take care of her teething through out the day, no gas, basically daily bowel movements. Sleeps with a sleep sac, doesnt want a toy to cuddle as a substitute. Fireworks arent waking her up, just the transition and she clings harder...Wife and I are at a loss.
Edit: And folks, after 40 minutes of gripping the bars, crying, and standing, she is now sleeping on side through the fireworks
