So I have IBS-U and my main symptom of that was pain triggered by stress. I was able to get that under control after getting on amitriptyline. 5 days ago I started having really bad stomach pains, nausea, diarrhea, and some vomiting. I went to urgent care bc I couldn’t get into to see my GI doctor for another week. They gave me some zofran and dicyclomine to take as needed (I’ve been taking them whenever possible). So I’m now on day five but my stomach still feel generally awful like sickly, queasy, and nauseous. I still have uncomfortable pain that is persistent but usually low grade (3-4/10) and then will flare up to 6/10 from time to time. I’m just looking for some encouragement from people who went through similar things and how long it took for y’alls pain and stomach to go back to normal.
