Coming up on one year.

So, I'm a bit out of pocket for a full Pic post and update but can at least give this update.

I had my surgery on July 7th 2025 at a weight of 343.

I reached my low weight of 184 on April 23rd.

I have been between 185-189 ever since.

It is completely possible. It's the best decision I've made. I make mistakes and I try to do better day to day, but I eat pretty normally, just a lot less.

I've had alcohol.

I've had cake.

I've had cookies.

I just don't live there.

Live in good. Vacation in fun.

Much love, hope everyone had a good Independence Day, for those who celebrate.

Cleaning out closet (Part 2)

This closet used to be packed to bursting with clothes. 3X, 4X and some 5X.

Now the largest things that live here are 2X (that fit small, or are jackets that can be layered).

I've had to buy clothes each month as I get paid (not because I have to wait, but because it gives me a good idea what I need through trial and error). I've thrown away all my underwear and a lot of stretched out socks.

I guess the next part of the fun will be trying to be more fashionable (I might even get a couple suits!).

I'm just under a month away from one year since my surgery and I can honestly say one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Question that I have had for a while now.

With the Confederacy having such little backing for their currency, and inflation being so rampant (hey, look at that), even if they had been able to create a separated nation from the Union, wouldn't their financial situation have created a scenario where they would have had to turn to the Union for help? I just had the thought that the lack of true backing for the money and the way the economy was going for those at home in the South, even if European countries had begun buying cotton and grain again, I'm not sure that could have changed the way the economic status of the Confederacy was heading.

But I would like to get others' views and thoughts on this.

Maintenance

So, on April 14th, I reached 185 lbs. Since then, I have tried to maintain that weight, or around it.

I have done so. I've dropped below 185 a few times, up to 187 a few times, but I've been in this window for over a month now.

I've eaten normally, even stuff I shouldn't, but I've worked out and maintained a pretty rigorous activity schedule.

I know that maintaining is the hardest part but I feel like I'm getting a handle on it, knowing that I need to make good decisions whenever possible.

Just trying to keep a running log of what I'm intaking, doing, and the decisions I'm making.

Macros and such I'll start counting later, but first keeping the weight in the right ballpark is my start.

So, the highest I ever weighed was 388 lbs.

I went years without properly weighing myself due to fear of what it would say. In the pic on the left I'm almost certain I was over 400.

This morning I weighed 185 lbs. I decided I would wear the same sweatshirt and take a comparison picture. I'm almost 10 months out from surgery and am already in what I would consider maintenance phase. I have held between 185-187 for 3 weeks now.

I wish everyone the best, now to start working out again!
