Calorie tracker that pairs with Apple Watch?
ive been doing the manual math thing where i check my watch after a walk, see how many cals it says i burned, then go add that back to my daily budget frm memory. half the time i either forget completely or i round up (do my self a lil favor hehe). either way not exactly a precision calculation if you know what i mean. tried like 3 different apps this past year and they all sync with the watch a different way which is a huge headache., one pulls steps but ignores active calories, another double counted my work out AND my regular movement so it looked like i torched 900 cals on a 20 min walk. buddy i wish. feels like there should just be an easy solution here just a tracker that pulls the watch data in or somethng like that. anyone found one that works like that or are should i commit to the math a bit
Macro tracking clicked once I stopped switching apps
Been on this app for 4 years now after trying every macro tracker that ever trended on here, database gaps, manual entry taking forever, you name it
My problem wassnt motivation but consistency bc of time and friction. The less steps for me the better and thats why I had originally landed on myfitnesspal
Yeah the new layout isn't beloved. I see the threads. The old diary had people who loved it and I get why they're mad.
But the database's still the database, still one of the biggest for actual macro breakdowns. Barcode scan still gets me accurate numbers fast Meal scan's actually gotten better over time and knows my usual plates now. Voice log is probably what I use most atm. I stopped hitting dead ends on my macro tracking because I found a system that worked well for me.
Still complaining about parts of the update Still hitting my macros every day anyway.
What surprised me testing calorie tracking as a beginner
I started tracking about six weeks ago! Not because i had a specific goal. My doctor suggested it to get a clearer picture of my habits before we talked about next steps on GLP-1s

I expected tracking to feel obsessive and everyone I know at work who track make it sound exhausting lol.

It hasn't felt that way. I've been combing through this subreddit a lot and I there are more feelings about the recent update. Totally get it. But I started six weeks ago so the new format is just the format I learned. I don't have the old version to compare it so I can't really speak to that side of things. For a beginner it was fine,
Straightforward enough to figure out without a lot of hand-holding

Logging got fast, quick. Barcode scan handles most packaged stuff and I feel like by wrek two it was starting to catch rhythm for what I eat and when. NGL, its tracking is way less work than I thought. Anyone else start recently and come in on the new version?
