In need of a SP campaign ? I made a whole one !

Hello there !

It's been a while, and I've searched for a long time a community where to share what I've made with this game.

I've been playing this game since its release, and modding it for 19 years !

Basically, what I'm about to share is the fifth installment of my serie (Epic Challenge Mods), but the only one that has a real "Star Wars feel" about it.

It's called "Epic Challenge Mod V : Edge of the Force" : https://jkhub.org/files/file/4446-epic-challenge-mod-v-edge-of-the-force/

"Not long after Jerec's demise, Kyle and his apprentice Mara Jade are sent with Luke Skywalker to investigate a cosmic temple invaded by the remnants of the Empire. But they were unable to understand what they found at this time. They only knew it was a sort of holocron of the Light Side. But today, a cult of the Force called The Order of the Lost Flame is growing, and in a bold move, they have managed to steal the artifact from Luke Skywalker's hands. For the Jedi Order is not what it once was. The temple has burned, many apprentices were killed following a tragic betrayal, and few defenders of the Order and justice in the galaxy remain active. Kyle Katarn is no longer one of them. A lone wanderer, our veteran is now sixty years old. Yet, a vision from the Force puts him back on the path. The galaxy is in danger. One last stand will lead our heroes, along with a new generation, to uncover the truth behind the acquisition of the holocrons—revealed to be forgotten deities of the Force. Past, present, and future are intertwined, and a long, dark journey awaits Kyle, linked to the Clone Wars, higher realities, and many other secrets…"

Enter in a world between old adventure games and Star Wars lore, face cults and golems, and learn to use your new weapons, and force powers (Destruction, Elements).

I have put my hands in the code to improve force powers, create new content, new AI classes. Claude has helped me to settle things, but I was already doing code since the third installment long before the rise of LLMs.

A total of 14 new levels, If I remember correctly.

One year/One year and half agegap between Baby 1 and 2 ?

Hello everyone,

The first month with my first child, my son, has been rough. However, things have fastly improved and by month 3, I fully embrace the situation. It has its highs and lows, but I ADORE my son.

My wife is 35, I am 31, we would like to not have too many decades apart from our kids.

Newborns can be tough. And our first has been often easy.

What are your thoughts about 1/1,5 years agegaps ? Manageable ? Too hard ?

Any testimony from dads of 2 or 3 children with small agegaps ?

2 Months and starting Witching Hours and Reflux

My little boy has been chill for most of the first 2 months. But as we are now approaching the date of the 2 months, he has started to cry every night from 9pm to 1/3am, with little pauses. Sometimes the pacifer calms him, but we have to constantly put it back in his mouth and it's exhausting.

Sometimes, he settles in our arms but we are exhausted and afraid of sleeping with him on our chest (it happened some days ago with both of his mom and I, so we are being careful now).

When he's asleep, he can do from 2 to 5 hours without needing to be fed. But then, even with his adapted bottle, he drinks too fast, we have to slow him down. He doesn't like it so he screams. But then, once he drinks, he has too much air in his stomach and it bothers him.

We struggle to burp him at the end of the feeding because he is falling asleep. We keep him vertical for 40 minutes, but once we put him on bed, he starts to stretch because of reflux. He has been taking gaviscon after every feeding for 1 week now.

Poor thing is tired but sometimes needs one more hour to settle and be more at ease. So, night wake to feed him takes almost 2 hours. We are tired. Not as exhausted as the beginning, when we did shifts to survive, but his reflux AND his frustration are hard to bear. Because reflux causes him pain, and witching hours causes us fatigue.

For 6 days he has been crying more, even when it's not about reflux. We are singing to him, rocking him gently, and just... there with him, smiling at him and getting our hands upon him to let him feel not alone.

But when does it settle ?

On the other hand, he has started 2 weeks ago his wabbling, and it's now cuter than ever, as he's trying to communicate and smile to us.

Broken days are tough, shifts are hard

So the LO has 24 days, and sometimes sleeps 4 hours in a row, sometimes has digestive pain and keep us awake against his own will,

My wife sleeps from 9 or 10pm to 2/3am, then I sleep from this time to 8 or 9, but we have only one bed, and the temperature is too damn high in our living room. So, my two options are to sleep in an improvised bed on the floor in the only other cool room of the house, or sleep in the bed with earplugs while my wife is on her shift.

First option is tough and lonely, but silent.

Second option is comfy but i'm getting wake a lot during my sleeping time.

Then, I take the boy from 8/9 to 12 or 13pm, sometimes more to get my wife a little more sleep.

And then, by the time we have eaten something, it's almost 4pm (I have teacher holidays and she has no job atm, so we can be at home).

It makes me a little depressed. Days are half gone, fast, nights are long and tough, and it's very hot outside where I live, so no outside activity to keep my mind in a good balance.

I assume a lot of you have been in similar situations. Just wanted to talk about it. Newborn phase is challenging af.

Young dad with insomnia and sadness

Hello there !

My son was born 9 days ago. I always had a fragile emotional regulation, but with years and work on myself I became pretty well.

Then, sleep deprivation came, inverted schedules, sleep at day, at noon, no regularity.

Then, I started to feel sad and lonely. I cry a lot, I feel like i'm not going to succeed.

Worst, I started being unable to sleep even when the baby is asleep.

Anxiety and sadness keeps me awake even when i'm tired.

Only medications help me sleep (I was already on diazepam, I had to increase the dose before sleep).

I know everyone has lived through this, but I really feel like it's not going to end and everything is just going to be terrible.

My wife is breast feeding him, and her pelvic pain since childbirth is really exhausting. Sometimes when she falls asleep she wakes suddendly like she forget to breath.

The baby had his first digestive disorders and cried almost all night. We slept this morning.

I feel like it's impossible to get through, at this moment, I don't know how I will be able to keep going like this for months.

I used to do a lot of creative activities, because I work in art and art brings me peace. And now, in this survival mode, I just feel like a shadow of myself, just trying to sleep between rushes and cries.

I feel sadness for my wife, I feel sadness because I'm afraid I'm not up to this challenge, that I'm too weak to endure it.

I feel almost empty.

Insomnia, sleep deprivation, stress, anxiety, being almost locked down doing nothing but trying to sleep and taking care of this little one.

And I take care of him a lot. We are a good team.

Through some insomnias, I took him upstairs to let my wife sleep better, (she got 5 hours thanks to this !) and put him on my chest while I was on YouTube. Then, I was forced to sleep with medications later in the day because I was unable to rest and let go of anxiety. So I slept and let my wife deal with all of this for 4 hours.

Like everything I do to make things better for her is later paid because I need to rest.

I'm becoming anxious about my own sleep. Thinking "if I can't sleep for the next 3 hours I won't be able to sleep later", and this is precisely the thing to avoid when you need to rest. The fear of missing the timing.

I always need time to fall asleep. I've been like this forever. So it's really tough.

Still, I try my best with this cute little thing, I love him but I'm torned apart by sadness, stress, anxiety, and I feel depressed.

I do all that I can to help my wife with everything she needs. But i'm too worried. About the boy, about her, about me.

I feel like I'm so lost that I would pray for somebody to help us, to take care of him sometimes to let us sleep better.

To reassure us...

I'm afraid when the night comes because it means problems. He slowly gains weight sonwe have to wake him up to feed him. And once awake, he often won't sleep for 6 or 7 hours and cry every 20 minutes, even well fed.

I'm afraid I'm not starting good as a father...

Sorry for my grammar mistakes, I'm obviously not a native english speaker...
