Created multiple accounts with the same email address... wtf?
I had created an account on Thriftbooks using an email address and I could not remember it. I then tried to use the Forget My Password feature to get back into that account and it could not find that email address. I figured... maybe I actually didn't make an account with that email address. I tried to create a new account with that email address and I was successful. Yay!
I found a book that I really wanted to buy, and I ordered it and gave it my payment information successfully. I actually forgot the password for that account using my password manager, so I logged back out so I could use the Forget My Password feature to log back in and remember the password.
The Forget My Password feature never actually sent the password when I tried to use it to ge back into my new working account, that I had just created.... weird...
I had a feeling that the system was broken, so I actually tried to make a 3rd account using that same email and I was successful... which is troubling. Now it seems that I have at least 3 accounts with the same email on Thriftbooks...
...but the 3rd one that I just made doesn't have the payment information that I added into it when I ordered the book.
It now seems that I have duplicate accounts and one of them has my credit card. I tried to put all this into a customer service request but then the system wasn't working... a few times...
Is this site a scam...? Do I need to cancel my credit card... what the hell?
