I love the sound of the steel guitar. I'd like to find more female country singers that have the steel guitar in their music. I'm especially hoping to find some current artists, if possible.
Are there any current female neo-traditional artists? I enjoy some of the current male neo-traditional artists like Zach Top, but I'd like to hear some music from the ladies as well.
I'd really love to know if there are any current country artists that sound more traditional. I have no idea if it has a sub-genre name. I enjoy songs with steel guitar, storytelling, heartbreak, forgiveness, etc. Some songs and artists I enjoy are Drinkin Problem - Midland, John Pardi, Choosin Texas - Ella Langley, Talladega - Eric Church, Watermelon Moonshine - Lainey Wilson, early Eagles music. During episode 8, as Aunt Lydia is approaching him at the party, Commander Weston is talking to two other commanders. He's saying to them "It stands to reason. We have less oversight, leading us to have more results". I haven't read the books. Does anyone know what he may have been talking about to the two other commanders? I assume it's something about the Eyes since he's their leader. I'm wondering if that brief comment is meant to tip us off to something going on behind the scenes.
