New to painting space marines and had a total disaster with printing these guys. Spray came out all sorts of chaos and leakage- total mess. Hopefully did them some good and “retro” looking.

I am absolutely enamored by the flame element that the 11th ed captain model has, wanted to reflect that to the whole unit.

Also, shout out to the member who suggested just glueing new bases onto their old ones. They stack up well to the height of newer models (legionaries even better). Trying to get the space marine side done before 11th ed.

PLEASE share some feedback if possible. I know I have a lot to learn with these seemingly “simple” models.

Picked this absolute unit up on a mythical Facebook marketplace find- local seller and all. He had most of the base coats already done: blue scales, brown spikes and pink belly. Had an absolute blast with the ancient treasures it is adorned in. Really hoping I did this legendary model some justice.

Bro is HEAVY.

Once we confirm on cogfort base sizes I will for sure be working to see if it’ll stick. The three points of contact are the following from longest points:

-95 mm width (rear feet)
-146.05 mm length (rear foot to front arm)

Maybe too ambitious to think the cogfort base will work?
