A woman goes in to see a gynecologist and he asks her to remove her pants and underwear. She does so, and the doctor takes a break from discussing her feminine issues and says, “I must say, and I don’t normally do this, but you have the prettiest vagina I’ve ever seen.” The woman blushes and just says “thank you doc, that’s very kind.” The doctor walks her through what needs to be done and says “before I get started, I’m gonna have to numb the area”. The woman says “oh yes not a problem at all, do whatever you need.”

My wife and I discussed it in the days leading up to the birth of our son, and we agreed that we did not want any visitors the same day he was born. My MIL was notified that my wife was going to require a c-section, and she told me to tell her when she was able to come up and visit and I told her I would do so.

I texted our group chat for my wife’s side of the family updating them that the procedure went well and that mama and baby were doing perfect. She replied and said “I know you didn’t tell me to come, but we are in the waiting room. We’re so excited and want to be here for you two!”

I texted her back saying that we appreciated her coming up, but that they should go home and that we would see them tomorrow. My FIL called me shortly after and insulted me in every way imaginable and my MIL sent me a long text saying how disrespectful it was of me to not allow them to visit their daughter.

I quickly reminded them that today wasn’t about them and that it was about my wife, the baby, and I. We haven’t spoken since. AITAH?
