Had To Buy After Today
Love the cut of this guy’s jib. Seller accepted my lowball offer too.
Restaurant Week Part 3: Cakes A Bloomin’, Graze Craze, The Peanut Shop and Middle Eats
Hit up four places today, here’s the rundown:
Cakes A Bloomin’ - A massively delicious cheeseburger cupcake, a little pricey for $7 but I figured why not. My partner got a German chocolate cupcake that was much more reasonable at $3 and equally tasty.
Graze Craze - This has been the one place I’ve gone this week where you don’t get a lot for your money but the charcuterie ingredients they use are excellent.
The Peanut Shop - We got the 517 mix which is great. You get a 1/2 pound for $7 which is pretty reasonable when you consider the quality of the nuts.
Middle Eats - WOW! Just WOW! Run, don’t walk to get to this place! Not only is the food amazing but the portions are enormous. My partner got the $7 chicken shawarma bowl on special and it legit felt like it weighed 5 pounds. She could only eat a 4th of it before she was stuffed(yeah, leftovers for me!). I got the classic chicken shawarma wrap and it was packed with so much chicken, the wrap couldn’t contain it. Their hummus is also great. Highly recommend!
Restaurant Week Part 2: Pop-Ity Popcorn, Wing Snob, and Hooked
- Stop one was Popity-Pop for the 517 Mix. Beats Cracker Jacks, that’s for sure. Super friendly staff as well.
- Stop two was Wing Snob. This is a personal favorite and though they’re a chain, the food is phenomenal. I got the six boneless wings meal deal and the wings are huge! Along with fries and a drink, it was worth every bit of $7. They also have some of the best fries in town in IMO.
- Last stop at Hooked for dinner. Much more of a lunch place but they have a huge wine selection if that’s your thing. We were looking for something light and tasty and they didn’t disappoint. We got the 517 special which was their Frandorf along the Michigan Meltdown sandwiches and both were excellent and sandwiches you won’t see on many menus. It’s also a bookstore so you can peruse while you wait for your food. Their coffee selections also looked good and I’ll have to go back to try one of their coffee flights.
Restaurant Week: Elsa’s Chicken & Waffles
This meal made my stomach smile. Both the tenders and waffle were excellent! The regular syrup is good but I recommend the hot honey for a little kick. Also had their Cherry Bomb dirty soda that was tasty as well. Will definitely visit again. This week you get 3 tendies and a waffle for $7.
Smoked a doob after dinner and decided on the Corner Cone for dessert. It did not disappoint.
