Panoramic sunroof replacement

The Mrs and I finally had to cave and take a car to the dealership for a repair. Water leaks around pretty much every pillar whe ln it rains, our mechanic said it was most likely clogged drains. Simple in theory, but a pain to get to apparently in the rear, so advised we take it to the dealership to have them do it. They clean the drains but claim it still leaks and needs a "panoramic frame assembly" due to seals being worn for $6K. Called our regular mechanic and she laughed out loud and told us to come on in for a sane estimate. Anybody have some insight as to how painful this should be?
