I decided to take a closer look at Legion earlier this year. And I am making good progress on my first "playable" mini. Who knows, maybe I will actually start collecting as well.

But right nows there's a way more important question I need to answer. What colour am I going to paint this thing? I'm currently leaning towards red, but I'm not sure about it. Please post pictures of your land speeders, so I can steal your ideas.

Losing in style

After the overwhelming response to my Ghostkeel, I thought I would share some of the highlights of my remaining collection as well. I'm still on my way to 2k points, and at my pace we will be half way through 11th ed when I get there. But it's been a fun journey so far.

Still haven't played my first game of 11th yet, can't wait to have to re-learn half a game I only just managed to partly understand.

Not on the same level as most of the other stuff on here, but I still had fun painting it.

The thing could have used some more sanding, the damm glue turned cloudy, and my soldering is an affront to god, but other than that, I love it.

"Stingray 1, coordinates recieved, activating projectors"

It is done!

After wanting to make this for over a year it is finally done. And I'm never touching superglue kits ever again. Because fuck me they are annoying to build.

Anyway, this kit involved a couple of first for me, first time working with resin, first time using masking putty, and first time soldering stuff. And while superglue is annoying, and my soldering an affront to god, I'm still very happy with the result.

The only thing I'm slightly salty about is that the clear parts turned out foggy in the end. Looks like the clear superglue didn't work as advertised.

But on the bright side, I now can't wait to buy a Stormsurge and make it stand on a burning Cimera.

Just painted my first guard mini

I'm sorry, but that horribly overused joke will never not be funny to me. Jokes aside, I only piked you guys because this is the cheapest vehicle out there. And it's also small enough to actually fit on the base.

That being said, does this read as a burned out tank? And does anyone have any tips when it comes to adding lights to minis? (Because my soldering is an affront to god and should never be repeated) Any other CC ist also welcome.

I kind of want to start collecting now

First time doing snow. And the army painter snow that comes with the basing set is defenitly not ideal. But I didn't want to order a snow effect only for this. So I'm stuck with it.

Can you tell that I'm a fan of big robots that carry one giant gun with both hands?

First things first:

To whoever suggested the shockwave over water idea for the base. Great idea, unfortunetly I ran out of water effects. So that's an idea that needs to be saved for later.

In the mean time however, I realy love the ruble on this one. And suprisingly, it doesn't distract much from the Broadside itself (I think).

If you have any ideas how I can improve this further, please let me know. Paintjob, base, anything realy.

It is done! ... except for the base.

So anyway, here is my take one the tripple rail rifle Broadside. I'm just not a huge fan of the shoulder mounted railguns. They just seem akward to me.

So I came up with this. Does it make sense? Probably not. Is it the best thing ever? Yes, yes it is.

Now I just need to work on the base. Please show of some of yours. I don't just want do give him the same old dirt with grass look. So some Inspiration would be welcome.

Also, let me know if you want a tutorial for this. Someone asked for it on the last post, but I want to know if the demand is realy there.

Ladys and gentleman, the violence has escalated. Turns out cutting of the barrel and adding a round bit realy sells the whole rotary part, who would have thought...

I also added an extra power cable, because why not.

My personal takeaway from this is that just because you have started painting something, that doesn't mean you can't go back and change things up.

Still probably shouldn't do that, but you can...
