Re: Never, ever could draw older men.

Sometime ago, I posted here asking about how not being able to draw older men. Some redditors replied with advice. I did some research myself.

So, here is take two. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

How did I do for my watercolor?

I was watching one of Marc Brunet's video and saw how he did a colored illustration. So I decided to learn his technique. How did I do?

I've gone for a softer tone because my mother (yes) said my colors were too heavy and "thick" (on another artwork).

Sharing my successful lighting attempt in manga.

I was so happy when it happened. This effect was achieved by accident when I was moving the layers around. The original was more of a big black block on the girl's back.

Older characters: I think I did it this time.

Some time ago, I posted on this subreddit that I couldn't draw older men. I received a some advice here and I applied them. These are the results.

I was so happy when I did it. I still wonder if there's anything I can work on.

Frieren by Harry Garland

Never thought I am hopping into the bandwagon of "Frieren Looking Up". Here is my take on the matter.

Done with Staedler Lumograph 2B on copy paper, then scanned with HP scanner.

[OC] Colored Sketch Speedrun

Done in 75 minutes, didn't polish much. These are my OCs Herald and Aria from Act 2 of Book 3 of Heraldry (which is still WIP). I haven't even started on Book 2 yet...

A little rant from the artist: I don't have the habit of taking timelapses. So... no proof of Speedrun. Hope you don't mind, hahahaha.

Lighting practice.

Portrait of my MC in my novel.

I didn't shade the lips because it looked weird to me after I done it. I thought I just leave it like this.

Any comments, instructions (or advice... Whatever they're called) welcome.

Sharing an old manga page, together with a recent page.

The page was drawn last year September, a few months after I just got my Honor tablet and Sketchbook app.
