For those of you who are not a hobby personality, have you tried to sell on a live platform?

What was it like? Did it work? Meaning, do you feel like you did better than you would have posting cards here or on eBay etc…..
I am referring to selling live on outlets like eBay Live or WhatNot.
I just want an honest take from people who are not influencers or have large followings….

Without a freezer, what do you do for ice storage?

I have a home bar on the basement level, kitchen and freezer are upstairs.
I don’t really have a place for a full size freezer, but I want to keep my large clear ice cubes that I make for cocktails down by the bar.
Do any of you have a small storage option for ice cubes. Would like something that I don’t have to shuttle cubes up and down when I need them, just want to make the cubes and leave them in a freezer or something ultra compact. Any thoughts?

Thermador freezer - ice maker cannot make a good batch of ice

We have a thermador freezer with built in ice maker. The ice maker has never functioned very well. It makes ice, but the consistency of rhe ice cubes are not good. It also jams constantly and wont dispense ice when the tray is full.

It seems to create ice in these clumps , or the ice clumps in the ice reservoir.

We have terrible water in our area, so we all have water softeners.plus, we have an RO system.

We had a tech look at it and he said, the combo of the softener and the RO makes the water almost too pure and there are no minerals. This causes some issue with the flow rate or something and the water drips into the reservoir ruining the consistency of our cubes.

My problem with this is, before the RO was installed we had bad ice.

He said there is nothing he can do. Replacing the ice maker won’t help.

This just seems odd that an ice maker can’t make decent ice or keep from jamming up when water comes from softener and RO.

Am I wrong?

First time making gelato with Musso, how long does the base need to cool?

I keep reading that eggs in base can curdle if they are left in fridge overnight? But then, I am not supposed to start mixing until it’s been in fridge overnight? Is that only for ice cream and gelato is different?
