People in USA- with the prepaid shipping label how quickly did you get your return credit??

Im in Oklahoma, I will return some items tomorrow using the prepaid shipping label (5.99) for $175 in store credit. How long after you guys dropped your return off at the UPS did you get your in store credit??

Also has anyone just sent it directly yourself with a faster shipping ? (I was thinking of sending it on 1 day shipping and just paying more myself because I leave the country Aug 21st and want to use this credit to make one more order before I leave)…

Any help is appreciated!!

Last minute help! Where can I find some cheap combat / doc marten style boots?

Currently traveling through Hamburg on the way to a big music festival tomorrow and I realized I don’t have proper shoes! I would like some cheap (under 40 euro?) doc marten dupes/ combat boots. I have no idea where to find this— maybe a big department store? Any help appreciated 🙏🙏🥹

People with mainland Chinese iPhones — what do you do about data when traveling abroad?

People with mainland Chinese iPhones — what do you do when traveling abroad?

I’m a foreigner living in china the last year and a half and I bought a Chinese iPhone since living here that I do enjoy & not really feel limited by while here. Last summer when I went abroad with it, I knew I wouldn’t have access to eSIM — so instead I just planned on using physical SIM cards with it. However, when I got to the states & purchased one— the physical sim cards wouldn’t work at all with the phone. The only thing I could find that worked throughout my trip was buying roaming from china Unicom— but it ran out fast and was very expensive. I ended up buying a second cheap & old unlocked US iPhone that I now hotspot myself from when I leave china.

But all this to say— is this normal (even physical sims from other countries not working inside Chinese iPhones)? I love the phone and don’t really wanna go through the process of getting the same phone, but another country’s version right now. And the phone I purchase to hotspot myself w is too small & old to make my primary phone.

Getting this error when trying to renew my 88 VIP, anyone know why?

I live in mainland china (Shanghai) but am a foreigner. I’ve had 88 VIP for the last year and order on taobao regularly. I guess it expired and I’m getting constant invites to rejoin it but everytime I click on the invites, then it says this & doesn’t let me pay for it. Anyone else experienced this? Anyway around it??

At what point do you change lawyers? How to handle bad communication?

Currently could use some advice on how to handle my lawyer, who constantly is horrendous at communicating.

TLDR:
I’m petitioning for guardianship over my adult brother who is severely disabled. I’m currently living abroad (I spend 4 months in the US, 8 months abroad but have a lot of flexibility to fly home for additional time). I hired my lawyer to do the legal admin, mainly because my mother (an abusive heroin addict who lost guardianship rights after leaving him at home, alone, and with no food for 7 days last year) is trying to contest anyone who petitions for guardianship, simply out of protest for the system.

She is currently appealing her loss at her trial (where she lost her rights), and it should get dismissed any day now. As soon as her case is dismissed, we can petition for guardianship so it is a very sensitive timeline. I’ve basically waited 2 years for this moment, as first her trial had to pass, then this stupid appeal. I also had to testify about my decade of abuse from her for 7 hours at the trial (not fun!) but worth it to protect him.

All this to say, I have had meetings with the Adult protective services staff (who have been very encouraging of my being gaurdian) to get updates and now plan for this transition— and my lawyer has no showed the recent virtual meetings not once…. But TWICE!

The first time me and the APS team had a thread that he was responding into planning our big group call. My lawyer says he is eager to meet. Everyone in the thread was available about 48 hours later and was asking if he is too. His receptionist said “he is available, just let us know what day/ time”. Already strange, because the date/ time was in the email she was responding to. I emailed again telling her the day & time, and then after that saying it was “tomorrow”.

We have the call, waited for 30 minutes, my lawyer never shows up. During this time, I called the office several times and sent several emails, no answer.

She responds 24-48 hours later saying that it was too last minute, but they can do next week. No apology. No addressing the fact that the original emails she responded to saying he was “available” already had the “last minute” date/ time in them.

I digress and tell her to please be considerate next time because I’m currently in \*Asia! With a 12 hour time difference from the states (so that means staying up til 1-2AM every night just for these calls & all the admin) + there is also a team of 5 other people (4 of which are lawyers for APS) who made time out of their day mainly to discuss legal with \*him!

She tells me this time his calendar is completely free for Tuesday or Thursday of the following week.

I tell her Tuesday works, SHE gives ME a list of times, I pick the earliest one he’s available so I’m not up til 1am. Then radio silence. Then she randomly emails me days later on Monday (around exactly 24 hours before) asking me to confirm, even though I already did 5 days before. I emailed back within 15 minutes saying it is definitely confirmed and we will all be there tomorrow!

I email the night of (day for them) in the hours before the call just reminding, and the APS legal team sent a calendar invite the week before that sends a TEAMS notification as well (this also was sent the first time to him).

We get on the call— surprise, no show!

I emailed 4-5 times during the no show asking what was going on because we were confirmed and this was so inconsiderate for the second time.

No response from either the lawyer or receptionist and it’s been almost two weeks!

No apology, no reaching out to rectify, nothing.

At this point, what do I do??
It’s a sensitive issue and he did help me with bolstering the APS case (against my mom) at the trial, but I’m kind of fed up that during the MOST important time of all this he’s just …. Not caring? I’m also nervous that the appeal will be dismissed, it’ll be time to petition, and I can’t even contact him & everything is ruined. I only have 30 days to petition before the APS guardianship can expire / potentially get handed to someone else or even my mother / a family member (they’re all druggies/ abusers/ enablers).

I also want to add that he said I can pay in payments for the bill, I have money saved up for it— and whenever I ask for a link to pay a set amount, or the bill comes up, I’m just never sent anything. And then he will randomly come out of the woodwork monthssss later and mention it in passing or when I bring it up say they’ll send a link/ updated invoice and they never do. Then he will say “he’s not difficult about money” and I’m like? Ok? But I’d rather just pay you a set amount and know what we’re doing?

Also how does the bill work if I decide to hire a new lawyer? (Legally speaking)

It’s very bizarre and I’ve never had a legal situation like this so I’m honestly blown. But I feel like to be paying $350/ hr for ANY service and being across the world and recieving such disrespectful communication is absurd. I’m in my twenties and this is a huge investment for me to protect my brother. Sucks. Any (helpful) advice welcome.

When do DJs usually post tour schedules for summer?

Hi all, I’m simply wondering around what time do DJs usually post summer tour schedules?

I have a few residencies I’m gonna see at start of summer in Ibiza since those are announced but after that I will be in Berlin / Amsterdam/ etc. and I wanna *loosely* plan the rest of my trip (mainly where I will fly home from) but I have no idea what DJs are playing where.

Anyone generally remember when they’re usually announced? I assume it has to be soon.
