Should I expect STL in the live-action adaptation?

I just finished watching the Usogui live-action, and honestly... It’s pretty bad if you are Usogui manga readers. Most of the plot points were completely changed, and it seems to have lost the essence the original work was trying to convey. Not to mention how it skipped the small games used for character development like Kaji's. I don't have any issues with the actors, though; they actually did okay in acting in my opinion.

Why is Tatsuki no longer the Leader of Kakerou, and how did it happen?

Perhaps I missed a part of the manga, but why did Tatsuki step down as leader? Did he have a private "surpass the leader" wager with Souichi that resulted in him ceding the position? If that were the case, why wasn't he purged, given Kakerou's rules?
