Reviews for ‘Her Private Hell’ (by the neon demon director) have been mostly on the negative side but everyone’s also been saying there are plenty of Giallo vibes and influences

>!Apparently there also seems to be a sort of Asian action subplot that I’m not excited about but the killer in this is apparently decked out in sharp diamonds he uses to kill people with which sounds interesting!<

Rewatched Argento’s Trauma last night with my dad and it’s probably the most I’ve enjoyed it plenty of nuances I didn’t notice before and some good character development

My dad was pretty gagged by the killer reveal. Am thinking of finally adding this to the collection

Volume 5 added to the collection ✔️☺️

Originally bought this for Tropic of Cancer then realized I liked Nine Guests for a Crime even more! But both settings were very refreshing!

Region B/Free Blu-ray players?

Anyone here in the USA bought a region B or free player? Where did you find it? How much did you pay? Was the first one you bought the one that actually worked? What brand was it? What was it listed as specifically? And should I avoid buying them from certain places like eBay?

watched Nine Guests for a Crime and actually quite liked it🏝️⚓️🚤☀️🏖️

Always kinda wrote this one off as silly and sloppy but watched it in full last night and found it really enjoyable the plot may b a bit more convoluted than normal but that’s a part of what makes these fun

finally watched Stendhal Syndrome all the way through and honestly was pretty good probably Dario’s most character driven story

Obviously not my go to kind of giallo but it felt really mature for Dario and kind of topical for todays climate the pacing was pretty good the cinematography was really good for something from his latter work and Asia did well as the lead also

anyone else fondly remember the movie “Blood and Chocolate” (2007) even if it might not hold up today?

Kind of a werewolf predecessor to twilight that has a better book version but I remember it was PG13 so I was allowed to buy it and so maybe more of a gateway horror but still soooo nostalgic for me the book does sound a lot better though but I cudnt help loving it all over again watching it despite its cheese and dull acting

already owned Crazy Desires of a Murderer separately but HAD to have the boxset for Autopsy! 🩻💉☀️

Might be the most colorful of the forgotten Gialli boxsets too
