Tips for a first time 7 string owner

Just placed an order for a new to me 7 string. Getting the schecter Banshee Mach 7 FRS.

I’m sure this has been asked a million times. But any tips for getting used to the wider fret board and much longer scale length (I have been playing a 24” scale a lot lately). And for the muscle memory for scales when im so used to less strings. or little things that helped the transition click.

And low string thickness recommendations for a 26.5” scale. I plan on running a few sets at B standard for the transition. But shortly going to A or drop G.

Guitar recommendations

Im sure this has been asked 1000 times here. But I want to plan my next guitar. Ether a 7 string/baritone or both.

Preferable something with a thinner nut width. and a floyd or something other locking bridge that allows dive bombs.

I was looking at the JEM7V or the Universe 7 but the used prices seem a little high. which i dont mind saving for. I was just wondering if there were more modern offerings.
