I’ve been playing electric guitar since January.
I’ve started working through the first two Justin Guitar courses, learnt the fretboard and how power chords are formed and played. I’m following Troy Stetina’s books – for example, I’m currently studying *Rhythm Guitar Volume 1*. I’ve also got *Lead Guitar Volume 1* here. A mate of mine who’s been playing for over 20 years watches me play and gives me tips on every exercise I do from the books. I’d like to play challenging black and death metal later on. Is there anything missing from my approach to learning? Anything that might come in handy for me down the line?
Hello. My name is Addikus Storm. I have a melodic death metal solo Project called six Sided Storm. I'm looking for another band or project to contribute to or fill in for tour. My releases and music are streaming everywhere here's a Spotify link... interested in contributing to a modern metal or deathcore type project. hit me up if interested. Everything Iv done up until now has been written, recorded and produced by myself. Thanks for considering.
I have an ESP LTD SD-2 and the hardcase it comes with is too heavy to carry around the city. I had bought a gigbag from Thomann that's is for extreme shapes but the zipper broke because it was still too small so i need help finding a soft case or a gigbag, any suggestions will be highly appreciated fellow shredders 🙏🙏

Recording some Heavy Guitar Riffs using my 27” scale length guitar: Esp Ltd M 7 ht Baritone Black metal loaded with a Seymour Duncan blackened black winter pickup into a Peavey Invective MH ( Misha Mansoor signature amplifier) and a Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifier!! For drums I’m using GGD The Downbeat by Adam Nolly GetGood and Craig Reynolds!! 🤘🏼
Have a great Sunday everyone!!
One of my favourite Adrian Smith solo's 🤘
Completely self taught and never posted anything before, so any constructive feedback on my technique is appreciated!
Hey there,
a while ago I bought an E-II M-II in Seethru Black and it has become my absolute favourite guitar. While I like the feel of the Floyd, it is obviously harder to switch tunings or adjust intonation on compared to a fixed bridge guitar. That's why my next guitar should have something like a Hipshot bridge on it.
Apart from buying just another M-II, what other companies are there that come close to the same feel of my current M-II? I've looked into a Kiesel Aries, a used Aristides 060 or maybe a Mayones? I'd like to stay in an upper price point, because once I've experienced what a more premium instrument plays like, there's no going back.
i've had this for way over a year been loving it ever since! i painted the pickguard cause i thought the pickguard was too colorless so i painted it.
Seriously How shredder superstars are able to do it while jumping everywhere
I've been eyeing this guitar for a while and finally got it. I was torn between this one and the LTD Buzz 7( huge unearth fan) but ultimately this one won on specs. Stainless steel frets, Floyd rose 1500 and 26.5" scale in case I want to tune down... Plus I have a thing for T style guitars. I've had it for a couple weeks now and my love for it has only grown. Super Slim neck that's fast and comfortable for me, the sustainiac is cool as hell although I'm not a good enough player to take full advantage of it.. yet . Love the Fishman pickup. People hate on it but it produces such a huge variety of tones, I'm not sure if any other pickup can do it like a Fishman. Plus it looks awesome. I think my GAS is fulfilled for a while.
Downsides- it is a heavy guitar. I mostly play sitting down and had to adjust my seating position to feel comfortable. Not a huge deal but I was not expecting this.
It did not come with a case or even a gig bag. It's a shame that for this price it does not include any protection.
Matte black finish- gets smudges on it very easily and a bit of a pain to clean but totally with it for me. I change my strings often and clean my guitar with every string change.
Despite all of that, the fit and finish and feel of this guitar is excellent, the action and setup was fantastic from the box and I didn't change the strings for 2-3 weeks after getting it. Best quality guitar I've owned so far.
Bonus pic of my small collection included.
I was at guitar center the other day and saw a beautiful ESP LTD MH1000 in the charcoal burst finish that I wanted to try, so I grabbed it and tuned it to Drop C (was already set up in C# standard and was still intonated just fine after tuning)
I also noticed the strings seemed really light for how well they handled this tuning and I asked the clerk what gauge strings they were. After a few seconds of feeling it up, he said 9s, which I didn’t quite believe but he was adamant.
They were light and easy to bend, but not too floppy or loose. Could it have been something along the lines of a 9-48 set, or was he just straight up wrong? I used to play with 11-54s on another 25.5 scale guitar yet the strings on this LTD feel much lighter
Anyone know a good multieffect pedal with realistic amp models and high gain metal tone?

I just want to share this vid guys. Check my YouTube channel. Thanks! https://youtube.com/@kriscellxll?si=LJyNzGroNBb9klaW
The guitar is a 2006 flaxwood aija with Gotoh HAP locking tuners, the serial number is 0609894. There is a very high probability that if you found it for sale it would be on a japanese website. some identifying factors are the wear mark on the bridge emg logo, the streak between the pickups, grain and markings of the material, all white flaxwood logo. Yes is has to be this exact guitar. Long story short, a friend used to own it and I would very much like to have it.
Funny to think that just two years ago I only had 4.

Unfortunately I have to downsize and am selling some of my higher end guitars. One of my Legators unfortunately have to go. I am curious what everyone’s thoughts are on these guitars. I personally love them. Legator and Ormsby are my two top brands. I only have one Ormsby so I’m not coming off of that one. So what are everyone’s thoughts on these guitars? I am pricing it around 900$
Hi Folks,
an update from my side as I worked my arse off these last weeks to deliver some much requested features:
Since 1.0 I also acquired a Diezel Herbert Mk1 and really loving the amp!
Now you can blend factory (my) Amps and Pedals with yours and mix them in Dual Amp Setups! BYO can be NAM A1 or A2.
Sound from 1.0 release but still sounds awesome (and now with A2 even better): https://youtu.be/-J-rSKlvL8A
Download it here: https://github.com/guitarlum/VoLum/releases/tag/v1.2.0
I trained all my NAM Models with 700-1200 Epochs myself to get the absolute best result.
Will do some more videos or shorts "how to create a mastodon sound" for example in the future if there is traction!
Very much looking forward for your feedback!
A star in github helps me to get the thing signed, so no more warnings on installation: https://github.com/guitarlum/VoLum
I heard some people say that you shouldn't play by metronome at all time, especially when you're on stage because it removes the tension that defines metal from the music but I heard some people say that you should always play with a metronome to be precise, what do you think about it?
