I really want to love Jackson guitars and make them my brand, but after owning a couple, I'm just a bit bummed with the quality. I love how they look. I love the artists that play them. The Kelly and Warrior are my favourite shapes, and played by my two favourite players (Ellis and Davidson). But when you spend nearly 2k on a guitar and it's just..not that good, it leaves me feeling a bit deflated. Schechter and Ibanez manage to keep the quality pretty high on even their more budget guitars, but Jackson can't, even when you're paying for a mid range (I know..2k considered midrange is insane but that's reality) pro series guitar. And I'm seeing more and more videos popping up showing new Jackson guitars with poor quality control all the time. Is it just me? Or are people generally pretty happy with what they're getting, or is it the same across all brands and you get the occasional bad luck here and there?

...but does anyone happen to have a pinout diagram for an ABB WEBC0221 cable (for the serial connection between magmaster and checkmaster/calmaster)? In a "connecting..... Meter not found" loop and want to check the cables good before I send the checkmaster off to get looked at. Cheers

Just a quick question regarding gal spray on your main earth connection. Do you typically spray on to the electrode, before you clamp? Or just spray once the connection is made? I've always just done it after. But I've come across a main earth electrode that has developed surface corrion over time and created a high resistance connection. Wondering if spraying the actual electrode before putting the clamp on would be beneficial or problematic. Cheers

Hi all, recently bought a new Jackson soloist l which has a 1000 series Floyd on it. Having an issue where when I dive down and then let it come back up, it almost always comes back about 20 cents flat across all of the strings. If I whip up and then let it come back down it usually goes straight back in tune. What would be your first fix? So even though I bought it new, it is a bit of an older model, so I think it was sitting on the shelf for a while, so it might have had some use, but I would've thought not enough to cause issues with the knife edges. The springs do look a bit 'cruddy' as in a little bit of that white surface corrosion. Would you suggest new springs as first/cheap fix? Or new posts maybe? Cheers

Anyone built any of their own guitars before? I've only done one, and if I'm being honest with myself it's not very good (fairly high action, doesn't intonate quite right, sharp frets etc), but pretty happy with it for a first try. And I learned a lot. But I'm just thinking once you've got all the tools, the materials cost is actually pretty low. It's just insane how expensive decent quality guitars are now. Even Ltd 1000 series and Jackson pro plus series guitars are getting north of AUD 2500 to 3,000. Even pickups are insanely expensive now with a set of duncans setting you back about AUD 600. And I'm afraid to say once you have a few guitars that are good quality, it's very hard to step back to a lower tier. Maybe it's just time to start working on my guitar building skills and save some money lol
