The triggers, battery, and side buttons all rattle so badly that it makes the cheap device seem so much cheaper. All you have to do is open it up and thicken the contact points of those buttons with some electrical tape.
It’s pretty ghetto but no buttons rattle anymore. I made a thick rectangle of tape underneath the battery, carefully taped down the triggers with it, and put tiny little layers on the side buttons (yes, they rattle too).
Now the device is silent and it’s a great quality of life upgrade if you own an RG35XX/Plus.
Using a Sonicake Pocket Master plugged into a Harmon/Kardon Onyx 3 Bluetooth speaker recorded with a phone. Lol.
Now I’m over here scouring the internet looking for used units because neither are available for sale anymore.
Both happened to pop up on eBay at the same time and my dumb ass paid the premium price. Lesson learned. Don’t sell your handhelds.

I skipped out on this handheld because the RG40XX series had just come out by the time I got into retro handhelds, but now I wish I had picked one up when they were cheap and plentiful.

This X series soloist dropped earlier this year, but the hardware was stock Jackson parts. So I basically upgraded it to a Pro series. Plays much better now.
I’m just not a fan of bolt-on necks. Pretty much all of their Prestige models are bolt-on if not all of them.
