Since when are grampas guitars so expensive 😭

I hope yall got the Metalocalypse reference lol. Anyways, I'm a long time electric player. A shred and chug maxxer if you will. Ive been wanting to finally jump into the Acoustic guitar game to widen my repertoire, and holy cow! What they make these things out of?? Please fill me in on why a good quality solid body costs more than most of my electrics. Or am I a big dummy who should just get a 200 takamine and leave the nice gramps guitars alone?

First fretless. What an instrument

Jumped on the fretless train. These Sire basses... what quality ! Some pros: glossed fingerboard, satin neck, rolled edges and neck binding make my left hand very happy. The pre amp, although confusing at first, has alot of tones, and gets pretty loud and beefy. The bass is super easy to set up, with a super smooth bridge and easy truss rod access. There's a string tension rod across the whole set of strings on the headstock. The fret marking lines are easy to see without being stand out and ugly on the nice looking fingerboard. Some cons: knobs suck, gunna order some metal ones. The bass needed a set up pretty bad, which is fine for me but could be a problem for others. Passive mode is pretty weak. Pre amp requires 2 batteries. Neck dive, tho to be expected with size and hardware. Also they matched the headstock finish with the body lol. Just leave it be!! Its playing awesome so far, im already getting used to landing on the lines after two days. Who else plays a Sire? Thanks for looking !

Any drummers?

What's up neighbors. I'm 35, I play guitar and sing. I'm looking to play some fun covers at all these local spots! Mostly KROQ music, popular rock and alternative, etc. I'm always open to suggestions to add to the set list. There are so many bars here with cool venues, let's make it happen ! Message me if you want a current list of songs I have so far. 🤝
