Pocketbook APP

I have connected the Pocketbook app to my Google Play Books account on my android device. But I can only see and access the most recent 40-ish titles. Even when I search for a book that's in GPB but not in the PB app by title, it doesn't come up. Is there a way to have the PB app see and access my full GPB library?

Teams regularly disconnects me from chats

I use Teams for work. We have a work group chat. I am the only one in the chat who's Teams regularly fails to send messages. I can see the message thread and I can react, but when I send a message, it doesn't execute. Then I have to restart my computer to get it working again. Today, restarting my computer wasn't enough. I had to power it off, wait a while, and then start it up again before my messages were able to be sent again. Then, all my previously unsent messages show up for the other participants.

Has anyone had this problem and/or know what may be going on?

Our IT Support already reimaged my laptop once and the problem came back after a week or two. Could it be the hardware or is it likely Teams specific?

TIA

They got me. I bought a new Kindle Basic for $50

After a couple of years of moving away from Amazon, I fell for their lure and bought a brand new Kindle Basic for $50 after the Prime Day price reduction, special discount for having an older Kindle, and a few CC points applied.

On the other hand, I paid $260-ish last year for a Boox Go 7 BW, which is fine, but the paradox of choice is real. I spend more time trying different apps and settings than I should.

And then Kobo Clara BW is on sale for $140.

$50 vs $260 vs $140. That's the sad part. Amazon makes it so affordable with their devices.

Why did I buy a Kindle? For one, after all my trial and error with the Boox, I still believe that Kindle is one of the best reading apps/platforms. It crosses off more check boxes than most for my needs. Yes, Neoreader is pretty good, but limited to Boox devices. That doesn't work for me. I sometimes read on my phone. I've tried all the others, too.

For another, it's mostly for my husband, who is not as inclined to experiment with apps and settings. Plug and play for him.

So, for now, I have not gone back to buying books from Amazon, though I miss the X-ray feature. I don't even have to buy any books at all. My book collection is enough to keep us busy for a few years. But, we will have a Kindle to read.

Maybe when it's my time to buy again, I'll consider an alternative, but that won't be for a long while, hopefully.

Which one would you use as your default reading app on an Onyx Boox Go 7 BW?

Which one looks best in your opinion?

Is Android 8 too old for an ereader?

For anyone who is concerned about android e-readers and their compatibility with reading apps, I just installed Kindle, Google Play Books, and Pocketbook on an old phone running Android 8, and they all work fine. I believe that the current android version is 16. Just thought that I'd share that bit of information.
