Me Personally, I think the main style should be in arcane and killer of killers animation style since it would give the projects more of a unique style but it depends after Supernova 🤷😭
It is fair for Safari Ltd to group dinosaurs from different continents into their Dino TOOBS because—just like with modern-day animal sets like African, Asian, Rainforest, Arctic, and others,
we all know that their goal is to provide a comprehensive educational overview of an entire era, biome, or all in one theme in the prehistoric line but at the same time.....that shouldn't be an excuse for them to avoid of putting enough creativity and effort to create a prehistoric diverse set in the toob line.
It makes perfect sense for Safari Ltd to release dinosaur TOOBs organized by continent, mirroring their modern animal lines. This approach enhances their "Toys that Teach" philosophy by highlighting paleobiogeography, allowing kids to learn how drifting continents shaped diverse, isolated ecosystems during the Mesozoic Era,
Grouping dinosaurs and ancient reptiles by region teaches paleobiogeography.....It helps children understand how different species, like those in North America versus Asia, evolved in isolation.
Dinosaurs are often generalized together, but an African TOOB (featuring a Spinosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus) or South American TOOB (starring Giganotosaurus and Amargasaurus) tells a completely different geological story....Grouping them by continent encourages the inclusion of region-specific, lesser-known genera rather than relying on the usual lineup (T-Rex, Triceratops, etc.) found in the standard Safari Ltd Dinos TOOB.
Modern TOOBs, such as the Safari Ltd North American Wildlife TOOB, are highly successful because they offer a complete mini-bioregion. Adult collectors and educators heavily favor scale-appropriate, scientifically researched sets,
Creating TOOBs based on specific prehistoric continents would elevate Safari Ltd’s educational mission. Grouping dinosaurs by paleo-biogeography perfectly mirrors their highly successful modern-day continental animal sets, like the African Wildlife TOOB or South American Animals TOOB, offering a more accurate and engaging way to teach kids about the ancient Earth.
Now I know some are going to disagree, but hear me out.......
Placing Captain James Conrad in the Birdwatcher or Red Monarch spin-offs makes more sense for timeline consistency, Unlike Shaw, whose lifespan was unnaturally prolonged by temporal anomalies, Conrad naturally fits the historical gaps of the Monsterverse.
As a Vietnam War veteran and survivalist expert, Conrad's role meshes perfectly with Red Monarch's rumored setting, which focuses on espionage and covert operations during the Cold War....as we know after the 1973 Skull Island expedition, Monarch detained and heavily recruited both Conrad and Mason Weaver as they unveiled their secrets revealing that Monsters are hidden within our world.
Yes i know Shaw is canon and is an important character but his timeline is deeply tied to the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters framework of secret societies and time loops.....Lee Shaw's primary character arc revolves entirely around the foundational founding of Monarch and his relationship with Keiko and Bill Randa. Pushing him into a 1980s Cold War espionage plot to stop foreign powers from unleashing Titans is a completely different genre, that's why using a highly trained operative like Conrad avoids awkwardly repurposing Shaw for a random commando mission in a different timeline that he's not familiar with.
Now i'm not ignoring Shaw's tatic skills.....I'm just only explaining how his character could be used for a different purpose, in my opinion.
It makes logical sense for Captain James Conrad to appear in the expanded Monsterverse television projects—such as the Cold War thriller Birdwatcher (which is the working title for the 1980s Lee Shaw prequel) or Red Monarch—instead of relying solely on Lee Shaw in order to keep the franchise lore, narrative variety, and timeline continuity in tact and properly connected with the films, comics, and tv shows.....
but hey, it's still a possibility that both can be part of the series.....it just depends on the outcome 🤷🤔.
Hear me out.... we all know that keiko is the grandmother of cate and kentaro in legacy of monsters, but honestly, her role would have been more suitable to be the grandmother of the chen twins.
The reason why i say this is because Keiko’s primary drive was always scientific discovery and understanding—not destroying Titans. The Chen sisters share this exact philosophy in King of the Monsters. Inheriting their grandmother's research and compassion explains why the Chens prioritize studying and protecting Titans over viewing them as mere military threats,
Reimagining Dr. Keiko Miura, as the grandmother of the Chen sisters (Dr. Ilene and Dr. Ling Chen) perfectly unites the Apple TV+ series with the cinematic films by tying the founding of Monarch and bridging the gap between generations while adding vital emotional and narrative depth.
As we know, in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Dr. Ilene Chen and her twin sister were widely theorized to be the Monsterverse's interpretation of Mothra's twin priestesses (the Shobijin). But with Jia taking on the primary mystical connection to Mothra, the Chen sisters' original lore was left ambiguous and forgotten,
This could have given legendary the opportunity, making them Keiko's granddaughters to preserve the legacy dynamic without needing supernatural powers nor rooting through a generational lineage.
Keiko’s mysterious background and her natural affinity for Titan biology are perfect narrative justifications for the twins' development and character arcs in the MV.....so if she was canon to be the Chen twins grandmother.....they would have live up and continue her work, as they view her as their inspiration and main reason of joining monarch in order to protect the titans while understanding them ensuring that their grandmother's research still have purpose.
> I know some of you will disagree and that's fine.... Everybody doesn't share the same opinion, so it is what it is 🤷.
Now hear me out....If Meteor Studios were the sole production company for Discovery Channel’s paleo-documentaries and speculative evolution, their signature CG-animation style and high-action narrative formats would exclusively shape the network’s prehistoric programming.
As we know, Meteor Studios is best known for producing Discovery’s classics such as WDRA and the 2003 hit mini-series Dinosaur Planet along with what killed the mega beasts If they were the only studio, we would see a continuation of their narrative-driven format, their work relies on a blend of cutting-edge research and dramatic cinematic flair. While they rely on consultations with paleontologists, their programming inherently prioritizes narrative momentum and intense action sequences. Under their monopoly, Discovery's docs would likely lean more toward thrilling animal adventures while evolving to naturalistic, Planet Earth-style pacing paleo docs seen in competing shows like Apple TV+'s Prehistoric Planet and Netflix's The Dinosaurs.
Hell, not only Meteor Studios' expertise are known for creating believable prehistoric ecosystems, they've also been known to create speculative evolution programs such as Alien Planet (2005).....if the studios continued this direction, they would likely focus on "what-if" survival scenarios—such as how certain species (like neo dinosaurs) might have evolved if the asteroid had missed Earth or survived the KT Extinction, how dragons could have been real animals, and how cryptids evolve throughout earth's history in order exploring unique hypothetical adaptations.
But sadly, the studios are no longer in business, but their work will always be cherished and remembered to this day 💯🔥.
I feel like having both Adam Wingard and Michael Dougherty direct this film would've present a unique collision of directorial styles for example....
Wingard brings highly stylized, vibrant, wrestling-inspired kaiju brawls and an accessible, fast-paced adventure tone (evident in Godzilla vs. Kong) while giving focus towards Kong's subplot
Mean while Dougherty's directions bring a reverence for Godzilla's character arc, somber atmospheric cinematography, and massive, "god-like" beasts vibes.
The film would likely feature a push-and-pull between brightly lit Hollow Earth fantasy and dark, majestic, monster encounters on the surface, along with Dougherty’s sensibilities heavily injected, the soundtrack would likely step away from Wingard’s synth-heavy electronic score in favor of Bear McCreary’s booming, operatic orchestration used in King of the Monsters. Furthermore, Dougherty and Wingard would likely weave in more development for Skar King and Shimo and dedicate more expansive lore of the ancient titan war for more world build and proper continuity within the MV.
And even if this did happen I think Renaming the film to Godzilla x Kong: The Lost Realm would create a stylistic title with deeper thematic relevance, and likely shift the film’s visual tone to a slower, mythic titan epic blockbuster with fantasy elements.
Anyways what do yall think ?
This design would have been suitable for the character since it actually represents a subterranean threat....don't get me wrong, Shimo is cool and all but for her being an ice titan doesn't really feel right (in my opinion).

That's why I feel like Bizarrico's concept of shimo is more suitable and was a missed opportunity from legendary, and if this was shimo's official design her name would've been...."Titanus Abyssalis" (who also would've been a male titan)
Don't get me wrong, I adore the way how Amhuluk looks, but the other part of me feels like that this was a missed opportunity from legendary to save this design for a potential mutant monster and dubbed him Titan X in a future MV installment since his appearance looks something that was created in a dark laboratory.

So if he was a mutant....I do see the possibility of him being created by alan jonah and his eco terrorist organization, who made partnerships with the soviets during the Cold War as they try to play God by using the power source that they discovered in the Alaskan region leading to Monarch and the military recruiting Lee Shaw or James Conrad to foil their plans which would have build up in a installment where the mutant breaks out and cause havoc and face godzilla himself.

Anyways this is just an opinion 🤷🤷🤷.
Since both series were made by framestore (animators of Walking With Trilogy) and are fictional projects....the dragons would've been a suitable addition to the series where all creaturs of different eras and time periods survived extinction and coexist in a hidden world.
Prehistoric Park should have used this tyrannosaur design from Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real because the latter featured an anatomically robust build, keratinous skull structures, and plausible bulky appearance. These traits corrected the shrink-wrapped look of earlier TV dinosaurs, capturing a more realistic representation of a heavy, apex predator rather than being a scrawny looking scavenger

If we're being honest, the trex from prehistoric park only looks a variant version of the albertosaurus...so it would have made more sense if they thought of using the design from the dragon documentary to give them more different appearances while being close relatives.

Now, this is not a hate post of Prehistoric Park's trex....its just more of a missed opportunity.
Now I know that this was a speculative documentary about dragons....but at the same time it still featured prehistoric creatures coexisting with dragons if they were real....such as the iconic Trex And Dragon battle scene.
And since this series was made by Framestore (creators of Walking With Trilogy, Chased By series, and Prehistoric Park) it would have been a creative idea to feature dragons in all 3 eras as they coexists with the fauna of prehistory (Therapsids, Dinosaurs, and Megafauna) throughout their evolution as they adapt, evolve, and survive in a primordial world becoming the legendary creatures of myths.
Plus it would have been a cool collaboration of all framstore's creations all in one 🤷💯🔥.
