7 months later, finally feeling consistently better
Providing an update here, I spent hours searching this sub to find some hope that things improve, but most people are posting once theyre better.
My PVPS (primarily congestive epididymitis) was, as two doctors described, "the worst they've ever seen". It was so bad I was going to have my effected teste amputated. I decided to push the surgery back and wait just a little longer, im so glad i did.
Improvements were nonlinear. I started to feel better by month 4, then relapsed HARD. Thats when my doc decided it was reasonable to snip it out. But another month later, I started to see gradual improvement again. Month 5 and 6 were the steepest improvement period, though one wrong move was 9/10 agony. By month 6 I could jog slowly and jump again.
Last month I jumped off the back of a pickup truck and didnt even realize the mistake I made until my feet left the tailgate! I landed and only had 2/10 pain.
Last 7 days I spent 3 days camping with my kid niece nephew, 3 days dancing getting rowdy at a music festival, and 1 more day at a theme park where I rode a roller coaster!
I feel a little bit sore from all the action, but barely noticable. 2/10 pain at WORST but mostly 0/10.
Theres hope guys.
All you with your massive setups make me jealous. But thank Volca for the samples, curbing my appetite for more.
Trying to keep a small and somewhat portable footprint. I bought a volca keys for my buddy's day and realized while resesearching how cool these little devices are. I snagged a sample to round out a little of my FM sound. I think the setup is complete for now..
CC parameter controls ONLY WORK on track 1?? Anyone ever see this?
Akai mpk iv into digitone 1, akai is set to channel 10, which is the correct auto for digitone. Keys and pad works fine with the assigned slot, wheels work too. But the knobs are ONLY effecting track one, seemingly no matter what settings I use.
Lost half my day to this! Lol any ideas?
One-side orchiectomy this week to solve 4 months of debilitating pain. Wish me luck!
Booking an orchiectomy post vasectomy
Ignore the flair, I KNOW this isnt normal but I could use some support if anyone's gone through this. TLDR got PVPS and need a ball removed.

I had my snip in March, followed all guidelines, and have been in pain ever since with severe PVPS, determined to be congestive epididymitis. Took my life away. Cant perform well at my job (physically demanding), cant walk normal, every action requires serious effort. Thank god for my fiances patience because we've had sex once in 3 months.

Tried antibiotics, nsaids, ice/heat, and supportive underwear. Nothing helped. 3 months in and its only gotten worse overall.

Yesterday my doc gave me a nerve blocker via injection into spermatic cord (not as bad as youd think but ooooooof not fun). That didnt work either meaning im a bad candidate for denervation surgery.

Could try a reversal, could try an epididymectomy, but I just want my life back ASAP. So Im biting the bullet and getting an orchiectomy. Waiting of surgeon to call back to schedule.

Im very happy I have a doctor who takes my pain seriously and is willing to perform a full amputation as my first surgical correction, usually thats a last resort. This should put my life back to normal, but I feel so... weird that this simple procedure is taking one of my balls from me.

I had no idea PVPS/congestive epididymitis was a risk of vasectomy. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Id love a supportive story.
Congestive epidiymitis: I could use some success stories of people experienced and healed from this
My procedure was 2 months ago. I started healing fine but right nut slowly started to swell and not reduce. Been that way for ~6 weeks now, and its debilitating. Did not even know this was a possibility.
Ultrasound showed a small hydrocele and swollen epiditymitis. Doctor suspects its caused by congestion, but started me on cipro just in case its bacterial.
Im reading lots of people who suffered from congestion for more than a few days ended up in severe pain for months or longer. Can anyone here share some stories and experiences of their bouts with congestive epididymitis? How long did it last? What helped your pain?
