Medical test and mental health

I am thinking of applying to join the reserves but I have had mental health struggles that involved self harm. However, the scars are almost invisible and made about 8 years ago. I am doing so much better now and I do not take any anti depressant or any medication like that. I know nobody can really tell the result but with what you know, do you think I still have a chance?

Getting severely discouraged

I am going into grade 12 this year and I was planning to apply for early admission in October for a BSc with a major in Psychology at UofA but seeing other people's averages in this subreddit is making me go insane. I have an 88 overall average (Math 30-1 88, Chem 20 87, Bio 84, English 20-1 86 and Art 20 97) and I see people with low 90s averages getting either rejected or wait-listed. With that average should I wait for regular admission? Or simply start looking at less competitive universities? This is making me anxious D:
