Blower motor issues - expedition please help!
Full disclosure I have posted in multiple expedition groups and have been searching for days trying to figure this out and hoping someone in here can help me.
Last summer I replaced a blower motor on a 2019 ford expedition platinum. Before the repair, the blower was making a high pitched whine when turned up past medium. It happened in summer so we really only noticed it with the AC on. After the repair it seemed to do alright, but I think temps started to drop around then and we didn’t use it as much
It seemed to do ok over the winter, we didn’t notice any issues, but we live in a warm climate and barely used the heat.
Now we are noticing the blower won’t hold its speed more than 13-30 seconds depending on speed setting. It starts to spool up, reaches the fan speed, and eventually backs down. It stays on longer during low settings. And shorter during high settings. 13 seconds is on max ac. I assume this means a power issue, but not sure where to start.
In the video I have the ac on full blast to keep the video short and show what’s happening. But it happens on all speeds, ac, no ac and heat.
**update: the rear blower is working fine at full speed and stays on indefinitely. It can push warm air, but the ac never gets cold.
