Moving body during TWW

What does everyone feel okay doing for exercise during the TWW? I usually do a bounce class on an individual trampoline but I’m concerned it’s too intense for the implantation period. Am I just nervous or is there truth/science/anecdotes people are aware of on what level and kind of fitness to do during this time? Thanks everyone

Spouse egg retrieval at 41, need success stories

My spouse (41) went through one egg retrieval cycle: 5 follicles, 3 grew, 1 egg retrieved, egg was fertilized but didn’t make to blastocyst. We never thought a baby from their eggs was in the cards but with the retrieval covered by insurance, we started getting hopeful.

Round number 2 coming in September. Any success stories of egg retrieval in 40s. First round not working, but second round working perhaps. Trying to find some hope for round 2.

Thank you!

Timing fresh sperm

Okay folks - I finally got a surge today because I took letrozole. I’ve tried 4 times this year and have never had such a clear surge as today. We inseminated with fresh sperm last night, got surge this morning - will last night be good enough?? When would be an ideal second time? Today or tomorrow? Also working around some travel plans today and tomorrow so trying to find an ideal time, or maybe last night was good enough?? Thanks everyone for your thoughts.

Onboarding taking so long

My spouse was hired as itinerant art teacher, signed early contract in May, had to give notice to former employer to finalize LAUSD contract, caused loss of insurance by end of June. As of Friday, still no salary, offer, final contract, or employee number. I’m guessing this means no benefits until earliest September 1? Since LAUSD is self insured, can they provide flexibility on when benefits kick in for such a delay in onboarding like this? Paying COBRA for 2 months is horrible. Plus…they really need to get paid to work in August! Any insight? Thank you

Childbirth and prenatal at Kaiser SoCal?

Anyone give birth or have queer friends who gave birth at Kaiser SoCal? I have been wanting to do a home birth through my PPO insurance but other factors might make it better for me to be on Kaiser. But I’m really worried about being a queer couple giving birth in a hospital. I want less interventions and options during childbirth. I want to be cared for by a midwife who isn’t subject to hospital policies or an obgyn calling all the shots. I have also had some other really good experiences with Kaiser SoCal being affirming and flexible and ahead of the curve. I also just want the option to give birth in a pool! Let me know your experiences or even stories you’ve heard. Insurance in the US is so rough…

Something breaking me out on chin…

I’ve been trying a lot of things 😝 so it’s hard to know for sure but here are some possible culprits:

- Dermasil milky oatmeal toner
- snail mucin
- skin nutrition multi peptide serum
- mayyyyybe the LA colors green color corrector

Thoughts??

Before getting in this subreddit lol I was using ordinary milky toner and some ordinary serums. Those are the main steps I’ve changed.

First legit haul

Obsessed with rose glow cooling face stick

Honey body cream was yucky sticky at first but smells really good and became less sticky

Dermasil calendula and honey face and body spray is funny because why would you spray honey on your face but it smells really good and feeling nice so far. Spray bottle spittles

Not seeing much shimmer on the bpure shimmer hair spray…

Bpure hair oil is…a joke and smells yucko

Got a hilariously bad la colors brow pencil that I didn’t even put in the pic

10/10 on the gummy bears of course

Aphid madness on mugwort

Never seen so many aphids one place, unreal. The ladybugs were managing the population before but this looks insurmountable without my intervention! It’s on every branch this way. Thoughts? 10a Los Angeles

Genetic testing, fda clearance, legal UGH

We never thought it would be an option financially for my to carry embryo with my spouses egg, but bc they are trans and want to go on T, Kaiser is providing fertility preserving egg retrieval, including embryo creation with our known donor. We have already been trying at home with our known donor for 3 months with my eggs and had executed a notarized contract we wrote up ourselves. We are in CA, the laws are really supportive of known donor conception, we felt good about not paying for a lawyer but still having a contract. Now that IVF is an option financially, all the requirements are setting in. Lawyer representation for each party, agreement drafted by a lawyer, psych evaluation, FDA interview and testing for our donor, genetic testing by a third party geneticist. All out of pocket. I just…wtf…my frustration is out the roof with these fertility clinics making things so inaccessible. From a legal perspective, why can’t they just indemnify themselves and move on! It’s so paternalistic and effectively homophobic. The fertility industrial complex is such a joke.

We can still just retrieve eggs without any of that coming into play but my spouse is 40 and I’m afraid we are reducing our odds of healthy embryos once we unfreeze and do IVF in the future. Right?

Ugh…

Edit: rant and looking for emotional support/camaraderie in the difficulty of navigating all these steps and the cost
