What happened here?!

I sold something privately a couple of weeks ago and the buyer paid by PayPal goods & services. I shipped it RM48 tracked. Tracking shows it was delivered within 48hrs complete with photo at the address, door open, buyer visibly receiving parcel.

Fast forward to today and the parcel lands back at my door. Same contents. Same packaging (but taped back up). The parcel has the return address circled and a label stating “RP INTERVENTION DIVERT”. I googled this and it doesn’t make any sense to me. The buyer clearly received the parcel. Have they somehow shipped it back (without asking for a return) simply by circling the return address and putting it in a parcel box?

Anyone else had the price bumped up on them as they are checking out?

I’ve just had a really annoying experience and I’m wondering if this is something anyone else has had happen to them.

I sent a message to a seller asking them for measurements of a shirt and after a couple of hours they kindly sent through measurements. I thanked them, told them it’s a good fit and I’ll pay now. It was quite expensive but exactly what I wanted and they went to the effort of measuring for me so I didn’t haggle them down I just went to pay. It was £25 plus roughly another £5 in postage and fees I can’t remember the exact total but £30.20 or thereabouts when I went through checkout. I selected the locker location I wanted and the payment method and clicked pay…. and £42.60 came out of my bank account !!!! I got the instant pop up from my banking app so I saw it straight away.

Panicking I thought that I must’ve accidentally selected DHL shipping or something and I immediately went to cancel the transaction so I can buy it again but the seller had already downloaded the shipping label - within 20 seconds of me completing the purchase.

So I click on the purchase and I can see that the item price has gone up to £37.50 from £25, so it was the price that changed and not the postage.

I messaged the seller to say I’m not sure what happened but at the moment I clicked pay the price was £25 but then it actually charged me £37.50. She replied to say yes she decided it was too cheap. Well I wouldn’t have bought it at that price and so I asked her to cancel and she has ignored me and 2 hours later she has shipped it.

Such a rude (and scammy) thing to do!

Obviously I won’t collect and it’ll go back to her and I’ll be refunded. But as it’s Evri it’ll take about 3-4 weeks in total for the whole process.
