One Month’s Progress

All 81 circles have been completed. Twenty three have been squared off with the four rounds of white. Progress is going to slow down at this point since adding the white is more tedious than the fun of making the colorful circles. But I do have a few other WIPs to use as a break from crocheting the white rounds. My goal is to complete at least four granny squares per day.

I told her she need not pay me. I requested she make a donation to a local animal shelter instead. Well, she left me some cash and a pan of brownies. I went over for the mornings and stayed between 1.5 and 2 hours- crocheting a shawl with her kitty by my side the whole time. The teenager who was taking care of the evening feedings did not show up one night and did not respond to her texts. (She had already paid him!). Her next door neighbor took care of that night’s feeding. I told her I would take over the evening feedings for the rest of her trip. So I stayed there an additional hour and got more crocheting done. When I finished the shawl I switched to a Sunburst Granny Square scarf for my sister using leftover Wool of the Andes Tweed yarn from my last blanket project.

When L. returned from her trip she made a donation to the shelter where she adopted her cat AND brought me a bag of goodies. And in that bag of goodies were four skeins of this Irish yarn. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 I love, love, love the color of this tweed yarn. Now all I have to do is decide on the right project.
