I posted here after completing first 3 seasonsPrevious post on first 3 seasons and everyone hyped up season 4 to me a lot and omg it delivered. It was hands down the best season after season 1.

After season 1, it felt like they were just making the story season by season depending on whether the previous season is a hit and is there a demand for the next season. ( Which was probably the case ). The story felt too random and scattered and as if they had no big picture in mind.

However, credit where it's due, they rounded up everything pretty well in season 4. They were able to make almost everything make sense.

As for season 2, I liked it the least out of all the seasons. Season 3 was still better but I am not a fan of the Soviet storyline. Why introduce a backdrop of real world border issues.

Needless to say, I similarly wasn't a fan of Russian storyline in S4 as well. I knew they were going to bring Hopper back in S4 when they didn't show his melted body in S3 end. It would have been a perfect ending for him and if they needed him in future seasons then just let him come back with joyce and pull the buttons dammit.

I Skipped most of the Russian prison scenes except the scenes with 'NO ONE' ( iykyk ) haha.

Also did not like them bringing Dr Brenner back, let dead people stay dead. Bring Bob back if you really need to bring dead people back. 😭

Now onto S5, people warned me to go in it with really low expectations but tbh I liked it. It was a good and well done season. The scenes with Max and Holly were really good. Robin helping Will realise his potential. Will using his powers at such crucial times. Dustin and Steve moments forever. Nancy and Jonathan heart to heart talks. Now I do get it was more on the emotional side and lesser on the action side especially in the last 2-3 episodes. Other than the final fight with Vecna being too short and Will's coming out scene like an announcement, I am satisfied with the season. However, I do get that a 3 year wait for this season might be disappointing.

As for El's ending, though really sad it made sense. I would like to think she made a life near the 3 waterfall place hoping that some day Mike will come to find her. And he does find her and they start a life together.

My season ranking - S1>S4>S5>S3>S2.

My fav characters - EL> Nancy > Dustin > Steve

I liked S1 and S3, not a big fan of S2. Just two more seasons left to go.

I really like El , my favourite character till now but I have to say that her character being the only one with powers makes other characters seem obsolete. Especially the characters of other kids seem like a liability in a dangerous situation. Because even if they try to help, in the end EL has to step in and save them. So their work before that seems kinda redundant. Anyways it was like that in S1, S2 and the majority of S3. It was a nice switch for the S3 finale when EL also didn't have powers.

Other than EL, my favourite characters are surprisingly Steve and Nancy.

Steve because of how he handles things. Like literally he is the definition of nonchalant. Nobody explained to him anything or what was going on but he still always just goes along with it without making a big deal about anything. He is so brave but in such a carefree and nonchalant manner.

When the S1 started, I never expected to like Nancy but I am surprised how she has grown on me. Her bravery is the complete opposite of Steve's bravery. Her bravery is rooted in caring and sincerity. Her bravery shows that if you decide to take up a stand you cannot be sidetracked. She was not in the main circle of people who knew what was happening. But because she decided to show up.and take a stand, she became vital and landed in the centre stage in every season. And oof her shooting skills. She is really badass.

PS: I don't think I have been able to explain why I like Steve and Nancy in the proper sense. Maybe I will edit later when I find better words.

Also special mention to Bob, such a great character. I wish I could be as good, pure and as brave as him.

It was definitely a one of a kind show. Initially , I found it to be weird, annoying and was constantly asking myself wth is going on! But eventually I got used to it and started liking it.

Now I have some strong opinions about the characters and what kind of people they were. I want to share those opinions and it's fine if no one shares my opinions.

1. Good characters but horrible people ( almost all of them )

According to me, the top 5 worst people were in order -

1. Angela

( could not bear her-- cheating, homophobia, misogyny, self righteous dumbo, classist, bullying, liar, hypocrite , religious fanatic and what not ).

2. Michael ( all of the above except religious fanatic, the addition would be sexist)

3. Dwight ( all of the things of Angela and Michael , the only reason he is on number 3 is that he had an emotional side to him sometimes and did help people and do good because of that).

4. Jan ( just unbearable for everything she did )

5. Ryan ( self righteous dumbo, misogynist, manipulating and very cunning, cheater, in relationships and business)

Now apart from this I have some favourite couples ranked in order ( some of them ended up together but some didn't but I wish they did end up together)

1. Pam and Jim ( ofc this is my favourite couple)

2. Michael and Holly ( really well suited for each other)

3. Phyllis and Bob ( a very good couple, kind of gives goals )

4. Kelly and Ravi ( really well suited and I hate the series end for them )

5. Dwight and Esther ( yes they made a good pair and I felt were better for each other than Dwight and Angela, coz Dwight did have a emotional side but Angela was just pure evil )

6. Erin and Andy ( I liked their pair a lot and they suited really well, I was rooting for them but I am so mad about how they botched Andy's character in S9 )

7. Toby and Nellie ( they could have explored it and leave it open ended)

Yes that's it , I didn't want Angela and Ryan to end up with anybody.

That's it about Office for me, I don't have a lot to say about this series, will I watch it again? Maybe some day yeah sure.
