Help with choosing siding and roof colors

Hello community - I’m driving myself nuts trying to choose siding and roof colors, please help!

Our older home needs a new roof, and the old wood siding is also needing to be replaced - it’s cracking and warping in too many places. We decided to go with Hardie siding - a mix of board and batten and horizontal planks, with maybe an offset section of faux shingle.

We are doing 26 gauge standing seam metal roof, and decided to choose from the Hardie Color Plus selection because the quotes for installing that vs installing and painting regular Hardie have come back so much cheaper…and we are putting quite a bit towards getting solar installed on our metal roof.

My understanding is that the bulk of complaints about Color Plus have to do with the darker colors being used in areas with strong sun. We’re getting solar because the entire back of the house has amazing all day southern exposure, so we are also steering clear of the darkest part of that palette.

Roof colors can be seen here: https://www.bestbuymetalroofing.com/standing-seam-panels/titan-loc-150/

Please help us choose a siding and roof colors! i really don’t want a gray house - right now we are leaning towards Navajo Beige or Cobble Stone.

And the other question is…what do we do with the garage doors? paint them to match the house? paint them to match the roof/gutters?

Need Recs for a Hardie Siding Contractor

The time has come to replace our old wood siding. Has anyone here had a good experience with someone who installed Hardie siding on their home?

If so, did you go with the prepainted colors or have someone paint the panels/boards for you (and did the same company that did the siding do the painting)?
