I will be changing firms with my attorney. Is there anything I should bring from my current firm of his?

I have like the usual stuff ready to go. Any recommendations?

My attorney of 3 years is parking ways with our company next year.

First off, I absolutely adore my attorney. He does amazing work and is an amazing boss/teacher to me. We went to lunch this past week and he shared with me some of his plans in the future. He has been with our company for almost 25 years now (I have been 3 years). He asked if he is in a position to take me with him, would I go.

I said absolutely. I don’t think my job would be the same without him. I am a little scared though of the change. I am also worried that he may not be in a position to take me, so that’s a bummer as well. 😅

EDIT: I didn’t proofread my title - meant to say parting ways lol.

Am I feeling burnt out? Overwhelmed?

I have worked at my firm for 3 years and love the attorneys I work for. They are great people and treat me very well.

I work for 3 attorneys, 2 lean on me heavily and 1 is fairly independent. During the summer I have been working 4 day weeks to help with childcare. I just feel like I am all over the place lately and I don’t know if I am feeling burnt out or overwhelmed. I enjoy going to work, enjoy my crew. I get plenty of time off. I don’t think I am burnt out or overwhelmed but when I talk to my husband he thinks maybe I am. Maybe I’m just crazy 🤪

Any advice on getting me back on track? Maybe it’s the 4 day work weeks throwing me off.

Issue with eye? Looks like she maybe scratched it. Any advise?

She does not seem uncomfortable or in any pain. She does open it normal from time to time as well.

I worked with this one attorney that just wasn’t cutting it. He had a lot of issues work wise. He was let go from our firm in January. He never took my email off as his secondary email on our state eportal. Well, last night he filed an answer in his own divorce case. I ended up logging in and removed my email as his secondary. I don’t think he has found a new job, he is now losing his wife and kids, I feel bad for the guy. I wish him the best and hopefully his year turns around. I sort of want to send him an encouraging text, but I know he is probably embarrassed. I have not heard from him since he left.
