How are you handling two-page spreads in the digital age?
Hey everyone,
I'd love to hear how you handle two-page spreads when it comes to digital formats. When writing my comic, I'm always thinking with a "print-first" mindset, as I love a good double-page spread for making a massive story beat stand out.
But digital platforms aren't really built for a two pager - I'm using Global Comix, and only 20% of my readers are viewing by double pages.
So how do you approach this? Do you completely avoid digital spreads now? Do you cut it into two pages and make sure the lettering strictly flows page to page so it cuts cleanly? Or do rotate the page so it fits in a single page and make the reader rotate their screen?
