I'm wondering if Lady Jessica is the weakest leader in Dune: Imperium – Uprising（not including bloodline), or if I'm simply misunderstanding how to play her.

The main reason I feel this way is her Signet Ring ability. It seems to force you to go to the Maker Space before it has produced any Spice, which feels quite awkward and inefficient.

Her ability to draw a large number of cards before transforming also doesn't seem particularly impressive to me. At the end of the day, it essentially amounts to getting one extra copy of The Spice Must Flow, but you have to do quite a lot of setup and make several sacrifices to get there. I don't feel that the payoff is worth all that preparation.

And after she transforms, I also don't feel that her Signet Ring ability is particularly strong compared with those of other leaders.

Honestly, I currently feel that she is even weaker than Lady Amber Metulli.

So I'm wondering:

Is Lady Jessica actually the weakest leader in Uprising? Or am I missing a strategy, opening, or card combination that makes her much stronger than she appears?

I'm a bit confused about how summoning sandworms works in Dune: Imperium – Uprising.

Is Maker Hooks always required to summon a sandworm, or are there exceptions?

For example, with Deep Desert:

Assuming I've already paid the 3 Water required to access the space, do I choose between:

Paying 4 Spice, or

summoning 2 sandworms for free if I have Maker Hooks?

Or, if I don't have Maker Hooks, can I instead spend the 4 Spice shown on the space to summon the 2 sandworms?

In other words, does Deep Desert let you substitute 4 Spice for Maker Hooks, or are Maker Hooks still required to choose the sandworm option?

"You may deploy any or all units recruited during your current turn (including from the board space and from the card you played), plus up to two more units from your garrison."

Suppose I have two Agents.

I use my first Agent to go to a Combat space.

Later in the same round, I use my second Agent to go to a non-Combat space and Recruit 3 troops.

When I resolved the Combat space with my first Agent, could I have deployed those 3 troops, or is that impossible because they weren't recruited yet when I use first agent?

More generally, does "current turn" refer to the entire player's turn, or only the current Agent action?
