There was this guy who really liked me and approached me for like 6 months. He asked me about and wanted to come into a relationship also but I had told him to wait and he did and he genuinely is a very nice guy. Then after our sem break started we used to talk and do vc too.

Context- he had some family problems like his mom was very sick and he had to go home also for that during sem. So he called me up and told me that he couldn't be in a relationship with me because there was a lot going on in his life and he wanted me to be a friend. I obvio couldn't do that and told him to cut off to which he agreed.

But for myself ik I did the right thing but I'm really worried about him and idk maybe I should've showed more support or told him that I would be by his side and now I just feel really guilty about the whole situation. I really need advice on whether I should go after him again, be friends with him or like just move on with my life? Because I genuinely liked the guy but the timing is so wrong since he's not in that state of mind
