Frame drops/stuttering
Hey guys, I’m at a loss here because I’ve been dealing with this issue for about a year now, and I have not found a solution. Apologies for the video recording,
Basically the game will randomly drop frames to the point where it starts looking like a PowerPoint presentation. This video shows a milder example of what happens, but it gets much worse sometimes. (the frame drops are visible towards the end)
Its most prevalent in borderless, but it also happens in fullscreen mode
I wouldn’t attribute it to hardware temps as this happens at normal CPU and GPU temps
My PC specs are as follows:
Mobo: ASRock B650M Pro RS
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 Super
RAM: 32gb
Hard Drive: SSD
2k display (though this happens even on a 1080p display)
if anyone has dealt with this or knows what might be the cause please let me know because I’m lost here
Solutions tried:
V-sync: on or off does not fix it
Restarting PC: Does not always fix it
Safe Mode: Does not fix it
Lowest graphics: Does not fix it
