Im a older player who took a brake from the game and recently came back,and i saw that there were a lot of changes (who asked for golden demo?) and i was wondering what should i try to get/what should i expect from the new meta?

So me and my friends started playing this game together since it was free on epic (only time the free games were good ngl) however I have run in a problem.2 of my friends always pick Rana and rush towards dragons,wich usually leaves me at a disavantage since I simply dont have the firepower or HP to deal with them.Do dragons have any counters or are there any strategies to counter this playstiel?And if so what are they?
