Update: i got told to switch to the Megane because it was supposed to give me a second for free...it did just that

i still have a long way to go, but now we've cracked 2:09

also did 2 races with a P7 and P5 finish too.

Lads i need your help, i'm falling behind my peers in pace. At B, can't keep up. Analyse this quali lap for me and pinpoint the exact errors

And also how to fix. I looked at the telemetry and have a vague idea, but maybe direct feedback would help more.

I don't know why, but the Corrupted Monk gave me so much trouble this time around. I can't even explain why. Nothing about her on paper is hard, she just fucked with my brain alot? I'm annoyed that she took me so many tries especially when all other bosses i downed relatively painlessly

Just beat the Watkins Glen Wtc 900 event with a 35 second lead with the 499p

i feel quite good especially since i have not actively played this game in literal months

Owl has shown me once again that i lack any real intuition in this game besides just repeatedly practising until i get things lol.

i beat him, but in the reflection of strenght rematches, i can't get even get him to half health lmao. all because i don't have an intuition for the parry timing on slow enemies, even if the timing is just doubled from the fast ones.

Aand I beat owl only after ressurrecting twice...and cheesing him by cornering him and forcing him to use only like 3 moves

Yall I feel so stupid for not realizing you can trivialize this encounter with the axe

u/Celatra — 1 month ago

Maybe I'm just bad but Unidentified Naytiba gave me more trouble than basically any boss from any other soulslikes

Just beat her after 5 hours on my first playthrough. I did not expect this game to kick my ass as hard as it has done lmao

edit yall were right, Raven is worse lmao

I've never heard a worse default tuning to headphones than the one on HD 599's.

Just got my first pair of HD 599's as replacement for my broken HD 560s's. I wanted to try something else. Im sad to report the initial experience sucked. I've never heard 150 dollar headphones sound like 50 dollar ones out of the box. Luckily, they EQ well, and i managed to EQ them to a much more balanced and clinical sound.

I will say, that I actually prefer the bass on the 599's over the 560's. I also prefer the sound of the 10k and above frequencies. I'm just baffled by how bad the default tuning is, when they are capable of sounding really crisp and detailed.

Decided to redo 90% of the layout of an earlier coaster i made

mostly just small fixes based on what i have learned through the help of all you guys who have given me feecback.

i did not touch the breakrun, but i altered the first section aswell as the profiling basically everywhere except for the diveloop.

laterals dropped from 1.33 to 0.98 and verticals from 5.06 to 4.88. I did this time increase the radius and stretch the turns too to make the transition less peaky in g forces

u/Celatra — 2 months ago

Today i tried a bit more of an experimental layout, so not as "realistic" per se

But i still think it turned out well with the banking, shaping, forces and pacing.

i know yall say "make the brake runs longer " but like. i've literally ridden one of these irl that have a break run that's like 20 meters long max lol. and this one is 30 meters...

the old intamin megacoasters were not the best capacity wise, atleast some of them weren't, and imo a long break run ruins the end

anyways, imrpovement ideas?

u/Celatra — 2 months ago

Used the 2 piece smoothing method for this one. im not sure it did super much?

maybe i just suck lol. Anyway, feedback?

i feel like im not making much progress anymore with these types of rides, maybe i should move on and hyperfocus on another type of coaster

An Intamin Hypercoaster (again), thoughts and feedback, can be anything

been working on profiling and pacing alot. for reference i used 8 meter pieces because i find shaping to be easier with longer pieces. did not hinder my precision in banking and such imo.

"That's not Millennium Force, that's Century Power"

first ride where i managed to keep the max laterals below 1g. thank you tremendously for all your help, i will keep trying to improve everyday!

u/Celatra — 3 months ago

-Trims removed,- First drop reduced by 8 meters, all turns slightly reprofiled and stretched / lowered, added more airtime to the finale, lowered second airtime hill, max lats now hit 1.21 ( that part is super hard). any more help is welcome, i'm genuinely trying

u/Celatra — 3 months ago

I tried to implement what people told me: whip & snappy turns, ejector airtime and standout moments, and keeping the speed throughout the layout. Any feedback is welcome.

u/Celatra — 3 months ago

Okay so i tried to properly heartline this one, Stats are 4.15 verticals and 1.02 laterals. any feedback on profiling improvement and layout/ pacing is welcome
