My 2 yr old res seems to hate her food now? For about two weeks she has not been eating normally. She would NOT touch her fav regular kibbles, so we got different ones and she eats a few good but then bites others and spits them out. It doesnt look like shes not interested in eating, she def swims excitedly to me and inspects what I throw, but then rejects it :( any help on what i need to do here? Did she get bored or sick of her food? She normally ate reptomin sticks regular, and then i switched to reptomin calcium and vitamin (they are green) once she stopped eating her reg kibbles. She does eat treats normally, but it looks like thats all she wants. Did she just turn picky? That would be funny because thats her nickname since her name is pickle😭Everything else about her behavior seems normal btw. She sleeps good, basks okay (some days shes there all day, some days only like a few hours a day) Should I be concerned?
Hi all,
This is Pickle. She is a RES aged about 1 1/2 years of age. As you may be able to see, her shell looks a little rough. I have taken full responsibility for this as I did not provide her adequate lighting during her early development months. I have now upgraded to better lighting, a T5 uvb, heat lamp, all the works!! She lives in a 40 gallon tank soon going to a 75. She is very active, VERY healthy, and overall a very happy turtle. However, I do notice that she looks different from other turts, she looks not as green? Plus, I know her shell has some serious pyramiding. Her shell when dry looks quite rough and not smooth or colorful. I have no reason to be concerned about this other than looks, because she does not show any signs of discomfort, distress, illness, NOTHING. So I am looking for tips to improve this. I am also thinking it has to do with her diet as she absolutely HATES greens and I cannot get her to eat them (she eats literally everything but greens). I would like some tips on how to improve her shell look and if I should be concerned about her color.
My husbands bday is coming up and I want to get him something to encourage him to keep playing and improving in his skill. I have sticks on the list already, but he does have an electric set so im struggling with something else to give him. I know he struggles to find drumless tracks to play to, is there a platform I can subscribe to or anything I can pay for for drumless tracks? Any other suggestions are welcome!
