James from Throttle House pulls of the prank of the century on Thomas and joins the Alfa family

https://youtu.be/RNEJORtu_Vg

Surprised not to see anyone beating me to the punch on submitting this. Absolutely incredible video. Very heartfelt and probably the funniest thing these guys have ever done. I've been watching this channel since around the time James first joined, and it's been wild to see them grow and evolve on YouTube and now into the Grand Tour. This feels like a great celebration of everything so far.

Has anyone ever actually seen an AWD 850?

Not a V70, XC70, or anything else like that. Honest to goodness 850 with AWD.

I'd known the things were rare, but I didn't realize HOW rare until I went looking this summer wanting to find one. Apparently, according to volvoclub.org.uk only 2,021 were produced, with 1,712 being LHD. With dwindling numbers of these things around, I expect the surviving totals to be 3-figure in number.

Anyone ever encountered or owned one of these rare birds?

I am beginning to feel compelled to seek out the ultimate weird little car. Imagine owning a manual, AWD, 850 wagon... assuming there's even one of those left.

Would anyone in this community with an EvoIX or X equipped with the Recaro bucket seats be willing to take a couple measurements for me?

I have a very different car that has several restrictions in its cabin preventing fitment of typical aftermarket sport seats, but have seen a couple posts indicating that the Evo X Recaros will fit without modification if adapted to my factory sliders. These seats are reasonably affordable, but far from cheap so I don't what to buy them and then find out they won't work.

So can anyone tell me what the side-to-side width of your seats is at the bottom rear (basically where the seat back hinges) and also the thickness of the bottom cushion at its thinnest point (rounded to the 0.5" or cm is fine).

Thanks very much to anyone willing to help me out!

Does the timing belt crank pulley have any retention screws/system?

I'm doing the oil pump and have the serpentine pulley/harmonic balancer off, but the timing belt pulley is pretty stuck. Wanted to know for sure if I can just go ham with a wheel puller, or if there's something keeping it in place that I need to remove first?

Your shared knowledge is appreciated, thanks!

I was randomly reminded of a song I remember from an ancient flightsim video and I cannot find it for the life of me

I probably encountered this song in the mid- to late-2000s, maybe 2007-2009, and it had the sound of like '90s or early-'00s punk, alt-rock, or grunge boyband music.

The only lyrics I can recall atm were a verse containing "up high in the stra-to-sphere" and a refrain of "sky high yeah yeah." Male singer, guitar-lead melody.

The website I heard it on back in the day was primarily American, but had a disproportionately large population of Frenchmen and Brazilians iirc, but the song lyrics were definitely in English.

Can anyone rescue me from this extremely fragmented earworm?
