Just got back from a ride on my new to me airhead. Rides great, I'm already looking around for another air cooled BMW.
Not new to motorcycles, been riding for the past 20+ years, but this is my first BMW. Really it's my first non-Japanese bike I've owned.
I won it at an auction, paid around $1600. Runs and drives nice, whoever owned it before me certainly took care of it, but it still needs a few odds and ends. Looking forward to diving into the world of airheads and BMWs in general. Any advice in owning one of these, or things to look out for, is appreciated.
Recently picked up a 2026 Ranger XLT FX4 2.7 with the black out package. I'm not a huge fan of the factory tires that came with it, especially for winter service, so I'm looking at alternative options. The factory tires are 255/65/R18, and it seems that there aren't too many all terrains in this size, however a 265/65/R18 size opens up a lot more options. Especially with the BFGoodrichs I had before on my Jeep.
Any issues with running a slightly wider tire on these wheels? I assume I won't run into problems with tire rub? Just was curious if anyone else has done this.
