Managers ON MY BACK

Hey guys. I’ve been working at Macy’s for about 3 years now, but I recently transferred to Beauty, specifically Fragrances.
Honestly, since I started in Beauty, it’s been literally the easiest position I’ve ever had at a job. I mostly focus on selling, there’s almost zero operational stuff compared to other departments, and I’m still making really good money because of commission, honestly more than I thought I would make.
My problem now is that ALL the managers and captains in the building are constantly on everybody’s back, including vendors. It’s like they hate seeing people happy at this point ngl 😭
I love my team, and of course it’s not perfect, but we always get our job done. Our job is basically keeping testers full, cleaning the glass, keeping cases full, doing MyClient (now StellaR, which I think is the worst tool ever created to reach customers), maintaining standards, taking care of damages, selling, etc.
And sometimes we literally get all of that done in less than 2 hours. When everything is done, we’ll promote brands, work on visuals, help customers, etc.
But me and my team are all in our early 20s, and while we work, we talk to each other. Because we’re humans. We have mouths. We can speak to each other, right? 😭
It’s so annoying because leadership acts like they hate seeing people enjoy themselves or just not be miserable at work. Like, we got alllll the job doooone. Truck is done. Glass is clean. Beauty Playground is done. Everything is filled. WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT US TO DOOOOO 😭
We make good money, our numbers are good, we’re not the best with loyalty but we always try, and at this point it’s getting stressful just going to work because management is constantly watching us. And whenever they approach us, they’re either rude or talk to us like we’re children.
I genuinely like working in Fragrances, but if Beauty/Fragrances is like this at every Macy’s, I think I’m done after the holidays.
Anyone else in Beauty/Fragrances dealing with this? Is this just my store or is this a Macy’s thing? 😭

am I still eligible for Jure Sanguinis?

I’m trying to figure out if I’m still eligible for Italian citizenship by descent, because I don’t want to keep spending money on documents and translations if my case isn’t valid.

Here are my dates:
Grandfather: born in Italy.
Father: born in Venezuela in 1967.
Grandfather naturalized as a Venezuelan citizen in 1979, when my father was 12 years old.
My father was officially recognized as an Italian citizen by the Italian Consulate in Caracas in 2021 and now has an Italian passport.
I was born in 2004 and was 17 years old when my father was recognized.

My question is about the “minor issue.”
Since my grandfather naturalized while my father was still a minor, does that mean my father would have lost his Italian citizenship at that time, even though he was later officially recognized by the Italian consulate in 2021?
If my father has already been recognized as an Italian citizen and holds an Italian passport, does that recognition mean I can still apply through him, or could the current interpretation of the minor issue still make me ineligible?
Has anyone had a similar case, especially where the parent was already recognized before the recent changes?
I’d really appreciate any insight before I continue spending money on this process. Thank you!

Should I still attend my jure sanguinis appointment if I’m missing some documents?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice because I’m not sure what the best course of action is. My father was already recognized as an Italian citizen jure sanguinis through the Italian Consulate in Caracas, and he has an Italian passport and is registered in AIRE. Because of that, I’m wondering whether I still need to provide documentation regarding my grandfather’s naturalization. My father insists that my grandfather never became a Venezuelan citizen, and during his own recognition process he was never asked for a naturalization certificate or a certificate of non-naturalization. As far as our family knows, a document like that probably doesn’t even exist in our case, since my grandfather never had a Venezuelan passport or any Venezuelan citizenship documents.

My appointment is coming up soon, but I’m still missing a few documents. I’m debating whether I should still attend the appointment and let the consulate tell me exactly what’s missing, or postpone until I have everything. The problem is that my Venezuelan passport expires next month, and since Venezuela doesn’t have consular services in the United States, I have no realistic way to renew it here. If I postpone, I’ll most likely have an expired passport by the time I’m able to get another appointment.

If you were in my position, would you still go to the appointment or wait until your file is completely complete? Also, does anyone know of any alternatives if I can’t renew my Venezuelan passport before it expires? Has anyone been able to use another form of identification, an expired Venezuelan passport, or found another solution? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar, especially if your parent had already been recognized before your own application.
