The job just isn’t what it used to be for me. Perhaps I’ve changed as a person, who knows.

But I was hired about two years ago as a PT and enjoyed it at the time. But as things have gotten more stringent. The constant credit card begging and now the huge emphasis on sales not being met and the threatening of positions getting cut because goals aren’t being met, it’s just making me loathe ever working here.

Credit card aside. You can only do so much on the sales floor with what little people are willing to spend on beauty. Gas is expensive, food is expensive. People can’t justify paying these prices for some of these products and are going to skip out on it for more necessary things. No shit sales are down.

I’m not doing to nickel and dime someone out of their funds. If I wanted to do that, I’ll work at a casino.

I don’t know, I just wanted to rant a bit.

I joined macys as a seasonal sales associate 2-3 weeks ago and honestly it sucks ass. The constant pressure to keep opening credit cards, engage with the customer even when they clearly don’t want to be bothered and honestly sometimes it does get extremely boring and even then I have to “be urgent”. I was thinking in going back to fast food as it probably fits me more, no need to open credit cards, no need to bother customers constantly and it’s always a little bit busy. Anyone been in this situation before? What did you do? It’s very tempting but Im still not 100% sure.

I just got hired, I heard about the horror stories of having to get credit cards from customers, however since technically its not out on the sales floor it couldn’t be too bad right?

I was told metrics have to be met but if the manager is up on my ass about not getting credit card sign ups I’m walking out

I ordered bunch of stuffs but Macys but they delivered to the wrong address. I don’t even recognize the door picture when they took picture of the package getting delivered.

Anyways I am frustrated because Macys doesn’t tell me where they dropped off the package and doesn’t refund too.
Worst customer service. Their reason for no refund or no reorder is because they delivered the package.
Wasted $200 for nothing. Well someone got some free stuffs.

Hey guys. I am currently working at a big store in new york. (Fulton street) I am from hoboken jersey and its kind of a long commute cause of the metro. I want to transfer to a store thats actually in my state but the stores here are small therefore less budget, less hours and less pay. Would It be worth moving to a smaller compact location nearby? I am getting 20 and hour being a regular colleague and the same position I am covering in fulton street they have open and that one starts at 14 and maxes at 19. Is there a chance an exception can be made for me to keep my 20? I am looking for full time as well. How different would the smaller store be to the one im used to? The stores is inside a mall thats kinda dead so its usually pretty empty. Please give me advice and recommendations 🙏🏼.
