Am I able to vent here??

I honestly just needed to vent for a second because yesterday was one of those days where I felt really alone and out of place. I was sitting in class then after, shafer hall by myself eating a tv dinner and some popcorn and I overheard during both occasions two people talking about the advantages they have in college and how they can just use their parents’ cards to buy whatever they need or want. Im not judging them because everybody has a different situation, but hearing that while I was sitting there made me really aware of how different my circumstances are. Im here trying to figure everything out on my own, and neither of my parents went to college, so I don’t really have that kind of financial or educational safety net to fall back on.
Right now I’m literally surviving off food stamps, trying to stretch whatever I have and sometimes I barely have anything I can even warm up and bring with me during my free block. I have 43 cents in my bank account, and I still had to get up and go to class and pretend everything was okay. I’m starting my part time work- study job soon and trying to balance school with everything else bc im determined to build something better for myself and my daughter, but sometimes it gets really lonely watching other people have advantages that I’ve never had. I’m not saying this because I expect anyone to fix it for me. I just needed somewhere to be honest about how hard it felt yesterday bc for a moment I really felt like I didn’t belong here.

Four Months on the Happy Pill

Four months ago I got the script,
Said "Doc, my brain's a little whipped."
He nodded wisely, "Try this one, It's magic..trust me..you'll have fun!"
The first two weeks were kind of rough,
Felt zombified,
emotions bluffed...
but then one day the clouds did part,
and joy returned up to my heart..
I cleaned my room, I called my friends,
No more the darkness, doom, or ends.
I had ambitions! Plans! A dream!
Life finally felt like a winning team!
My brain's a palace, smooth and bright,
I wake up without dread each night.
My anxiety? Completely gone!
I'm basically a ray of sun.
BUT—and here's where the plot does twist..
There's one thing that I sorely missed...
....My libido left town without a note,
Died somewhere in a rowboat.
I'm stable, happy, calm, and whole,
but also have the sex drive of a troll.
It's like the trade-off from above..
Here's mental health... but no more love.
So here's to Lex, my weird best friend,
You fixed my mind from end to end!
But took my passion with the deal...
Now I'm just numb to that whole feel. 😂

Hope that gave you a laugh! This whole libido side effect has been having me in a dread😭
