I'm still ironing out the kinks in this release, but I was so excited that I thought I'd share what's coming to Hardcover Sync! If you want to try it, you need to opt in to beta updates! Please give me feedback!

1. A Stunning UI overhaul. Based off Mudita Mindful Design, optimized for a great UX on B&W e-ink displays.
2. A Hardcover client, with offline support. View all your shelves (Currently Reading, Want to Read, DNF), as well as custom lists, not to mention goals and reading statistics, all completely offline. A new offline backend means more data is saved for offline view, and it uses up to 95% less data
3. Supports Vibes, Hardcover's Recommendation engine. A similar to this book carousel in every book details page, and in your library tab you can see all your vibes list. Each vibe can be tuned to recommend certain types of books.
4. Bookshelf Integration. Make any status shelf or list into a custom shelf in Bookshelf. (Wow, that's a mouthful, but hopefully you get what I mean)
5. Download new books directly. If you find a new book you want to try, Z-Library, Anna's Archive, and Kindle Fetch integration makes downloading it a breeze.

Full disclaimer I have no clue what I'm doing, but here's what I managed to add (with the help of claude of course):

• Sign in with OAuth. You no longer need to paste a long API key (yay!) All you need to do is find the short login code in the plugin settings and paste it into hardcover.app/link.
• Offline syncing. The plugin tracks your progress offline and syncs it with the server when you reconnect to the internet.
• New UI Now you can browse your want to read list, read, unfinished, and paused lists. Tapping on a book will show you the description, and (when I have time when claude get's around to working on it) user reviews
• Series info. If a book is part of a series, a carousel in the book info page will let you easily find the next book in the series.

Of course I'm probably forgetting stuff, and it's definitely a work in progress, but I'm pretty proud of it. Also, if you actually know how to code, and you're interested, please take over for me.
